Director of Global Communications
MAIN JOB OBJECTIVE
The Director of Global Communications will support the brand on a global capacity to create a consistent global brand voice, build global brand awareness, and play a key role in developing existing and emerging international markets. Reporting to the Vice President of Global Communications & Image, the Director of Global Communications will manage the strategy and execution for fresh’s global communications and influencer marketing efforts with measurable outcomes and create consistent brand imaging across all markets. This includes the overall strategy, influencer/KOL/celebrity relations, brand partnerships, founder management and global events. In addition, this position will be the direct liaison with all markets' local communications teams to manage local execution of global strategy, analyze/report back launch plans and results.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy & International Market Support
- Support the Vice President to ideate and develop creative and effective global communications strategies that position fresh as a leading brand in the beauty industry.
- Assist in leading and building innovation in the dynamically changing global press and social influence space to maintain competitive advantage.
- Guide and support international markets in implementing communication strategies and programs in their respective markets. Communicate with international markets on a daily basis
- Liaise with internal and external global partners to manage market proposals including approval, feedback, internal routing, execution and activation recaps and ROI reports
- Develop global social media Influencer strategy in partnership with international markets to fuel exponential growth in Earned Media Value
- Support Vice President in developing fresh’s unique founder relations strategy to gain maximum impact and deliver always on awareness
- Enhance sharing of best practices globally and encourage optimization of existing initiatives. Produce and present global communications integrated reports and recaps, focusing on key learnings and opportunities
Partnerships and Collaborations
- Strategize with the Global Communications team on brand partnerships that include strategic communications opportunities or collaborations.
- Ideate, propose, and develop disruptive global partnership opportunities and PR driven brand campaigns for global launches or key
- initiatives whether through influencer integration, co-branded partnerships or limited-life collaborations
- Nurture relationships and manage sponsorships with culturally significant organizations and events to keep fresh relevant and top of mind during key social calendar moments
- Build and execute amplification strategy to drive meaningful awareness on brand and product collaboration.
Brand Guidelines, Product Launch Guidelines, and Activation Assets
- Create guidelines and toolkits for international markets including always on communication strategies for earned coverage, local influencer campaigns to grow brand influence - “cool factor” - and ensure global consistency.
- Manage global PR strategy on launch activations in partnership with 360 cross functional teams
- Support international markets in overall vision, branding, and activation strategies
- Establish KPI’s to track and measure launch and program effectiveness, ensure achievement of ROI
- Develop and evolve internal guidelines including on-boarding documents, PR Managers guidelines, reporting guidelines, process and approval guidelines
Branded Experiences
- Support the development and execution of major global press trips and international press events with Fresh Founders as well as additional brand’s spokespeople including overseeing full trip logistics, events and activities.
Departmental Support
- Manage and track Global Communications budgets and effectiveness
- Compile and create presentation content for the various internal management, retailer and international meetings
What you will learn in the first 6 months:
- Through collaboration, you will develop strong cross functional relationships and synergies across 360 global team departments including marketing, digital, creative and product development
- By creating a constant dialogue with all international markets, you will learn about the complexities in developing consistent brand awareness in all markets and will need to build trust to inspire best practice sharing and align market needs for all strategic brand building campaigns and launches
- With the entire global communications team, you will be a key team player in first new product launch since the release of new foreverfresh sustainability platform
What you will achieve in 12 months:
- Building on the constant dialogue with all international markets, you will develop a globally consistent communications strategy and calendar that accounts for local relevance for 2022
- Through 360 collaborations and in partnership with the entire global communications team, you will be a key partner in building a strategic new product launch
- By nurturing relationships and outreach, candidate will be integral in ideating, securing, and developing a brand partnership / collaboration for 2023
PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree / MBA preferred
- 8-10 years of domestic and international communications experience, preferably within the beauty/ fashion, lifestyle and/or retail industry, China experience, influencer marketing, and founder management/relationships a plus
- Passion for beauty and fresh
- Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills, extremely organized and ability to prioritize
- Ability to work cross-functionally across different departments to eliminate silos and achieve aligned objectives
- Demonstrate flawless attention to detail, be a team player, multi-tasker, creative thinker and excellent communicator
- A natural relationship -builder with the ability to work well with a strong network of peers and partners
- Experienced in digital analytics and social listening tools, measuring campaign ROI and analyzing metrics to support overall influencer strategy
- Understanding of financial and operational performance to ensure quality work and budget adherence
- Passion for understanding different cultures and global trends & able to travel to markets (when possible)
- Energetic and proactive team player who is a creative thinker and thrives in a fast-paced ambiguous environment
