Title: Platform Services Specialist I

Location: Dallas, Texas or remote

Reports to: Manager of Platform Services

The Role

As a Platform Service Specialist, you will provide value in each conversation & set rewardStyle clients up for success by delivering fast, accurate, technical assistance to colleagues and clients. You will be expected to diagnose problems, Android and iPhone app issues, and other technical questions around rewardStyle platforms.

As a Platform Services Specialist, you are an expert in understanding and, more importantly, communicating complex technical issues to non-specialists. During a typical day, you may be asked to review a widget on a WordPress site, determine if a platform error occurred, or explain a new feature to one of our Influencers or Brand Partners.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

  • Answer technical tickets from both internal and external sources in a timely manner
  • Triage issues to determine the solution and business impact
  • Be able to identify and escalate critical problems
  • Be a point of escalation for common questions
  • Provide clear documentation of best practices
  • Write both internal and external Knowledge Base articles
  • Work with product teams and account managers to solve problems
  • Educate and evangelize rewardStyle best practices to build awareness for how other teams impact the business, ensuring alignment in cross-team initiatives.

Also, the Platforms Services Specialist will act as an advocate for the client by viewing the world from their point of view, and ensuring we have set the client up for success.

Requirements

  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Advertising, Business, Communications, or a related field
  • Two years of experience managing technical questions and common support issues in a SaaS business
  • Experience communicating technical concepts to non-specialists
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues
  • Experiencing working within tight SLAs
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing technologies
  • An understanding of social media and influencer marketing

  • Familiarity with MySQL
  • Experience with Zendesk or other ticketing systems
  • Understanding of popular blogging platforms and familiarity with other content management systems
