Marketing Assistant

Location: Burlington, VTReporting to: Associate Marketing ManagerPosition Overview: Superplastic is seeking a Marketing Assistant for our fast-growing character-based product and animated entertainment brand. Superplastic creates animated celebrities and makes them famous on social media, and then earns lots of money through animated media, licensing, influencer marketing, and product sales.The Marketing Assistant will assist the Marketing Manager in the execution of social media management, community platforms, promotions, influencer campaigns, and SMS growth. You will be responsible for responding to DM’s and comments on our brand & character channels, scheduling social posts, comment/trend-jacking on social platforms, and organization of all marketing tools and resources. This position requires a passion for social media and competence in multitasking and organization. Responsibilities: Responding and managing DM’s and comments on our social media accounts; this includes commenting and trend-jacking social media posts to engage with fans + community. Creating and scheduling newsletters to notify fans of product drops & other important updates.Scheduling SMS text messages. Execution of promotional marketing campaigns. Scheduling all social media posts using the scheduling platform Sprout Social. Updating & organizing ImageRelay, our photo asset directory, on a daily basis. Managing communications on Looped Giveaway campaigns & influencer campaigns that we run on social media. Assisting in brainstorming marketing campaigns & strategies. Developing new processes + campaigns to grow our social media accounts. Community management across multiple platforms. Assist the Associate Marketing Manager in any organizational efficiencies, communications, and tasks. Requirements: A degree or equivalent experience in social marketing is preferred. A knowledge of social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and TikTok. A passion for pop culture. An ability to learn brand voice when responding to comments/DM’s, this also includes learning the character “voices” for our animated celebrities Janky, Guggimon, Dayzee, and Staxx. Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills. Time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
