Overview

Intersport, a leader in sports, entertainment, and lifestyle marketing and media for more than three decades, provides expertise in the areas of:

  • Agency Services: sponsorship consulting, experiential marketing, hospitality, content, digital, and social media marketing
  • Assets – owned-and-operated media properties and live sports and lifestyle properties

Intersport is seeking to add a smart and driven marketer to its Agency Services team. The Agency Services team is integral to providing existing clients with a variety of solutions to help them reach their business and brand objectives. The Senior Account Executive (SAE) is responsible for all aspects of program management and execution for the client they are assigned and ensures that work is provided in a high-quality, timely, cost effective manner. A SAE is expected to run all aspects of a piece of business and is someone seeking ownership and corresponding accountability for highly strategic content and social media focused responsibilities. The SAE will be assigned to a variety of pieces of business focused on content, social media, and influencer marketing.

Responsibilities

General

  • Embodies and reflects Intersport’s performance-based culture and commits him/herself and team to the highest standards for all agency work
  • Works effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver executional excellence

Client Management & Communication

  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding and a passion for his/her clients’ industry, business, consumer and brands, including an understanding of their competitive set and industry while updating them on industry trends and best practices
  • Establishing himself/herself as a trusted strategic business partner to the client and agency partners
  • Demonstrates leadership and presence in meetings and client interaction
  • Lead coordination and administration of regular conference calls

Program & Project Management

  • Creates and maintains administrative documents in a clear, concise and detailed manner for client and agency backup including points of view, recaps, reporting, agendas, and timelines
  • Manages the creative and production briefing process
  • Accountable for managing legal process such as contract administration
  • Produces research and competitive analysis
  • Actively contributes in brainstorming and idea generation sessions with cross-functional teams

Content Marketing and Social Media Strategy

  • Develop and execute social media marketing strategy and community management of client’s owned social channels, including Facebook and Twitter
  • Assist in developing end-to-end content marketing solutions for client, including content strategy, content creation and content distribution and execute those solutions flawlessly
  • Manage social platforms and online communities on behalf of the client and ideate creative and effective ways to create buzz and establish client as a thought leader in their field
  • Provide end-to-end program management for all accounts and client-specific strategies, as well as campaign-specific initiatives
  • Develop short- and long-term initiatives to increase brand awareness and engagement, and grow the brands social communities
  • Develop and execute tools and process for social listening, social advertising, digital advertising, and influencer strategies as needed and as determined by client
  • Manage the day-to-day with influencer programs, including agency-side and client communications
  • Advise client on paid media and paid social campaigns, and partner with client’s brand team to create thoughtful recommendations specific to the client’s objectives
  • Manage all day-to-day posting and implementation of social media content strategies and content calendars
  • Align content with mainstream and industry conversations to maximize engagement and relevancy
  • Create integrated campaigns that hold relevance across social and beyond

Creative Production & Asset Creation

  • Lead development of creative for social assets by building a library of highly visual, compelling and evergreen branded content that can be used to fuel brand’s social media channels throughout the year
  • Collaborate with internal Production and Creative Services teams on content creation to ensure consistency with the brand’s messaging priorities, goals, and aesthetic

Reporting and Analysis

  • Apply research to demonstrate success of campaign performance, and analyze data to develop thoughtful insights and recommendations for client
  • Evaluate individual programs to advise client on areas of improvement, performance metrics tied to mutually agreed-upon goals, key learnings, competitive analysis, and new opportunities
  • Program optimization and measurement for overall strategies, as well as campaign-specific initiatives

Team Management

  • Work collaboratively with all members of integrated team
  • Help train/provide feedback to junior team members

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Four (4) to six (6) years’ experience in a marketing role at an agency, brand, media company, sports or entertainment property, or related organization
  • Strong knowledge and understanding content marketing and social media marketing
  • Experience managing holistic brand strategies and seeing the execution through multiple marketing channels. Integrated communications plans.
  • Ability to manage multiple programs/projects concurrently, inclusive of a detail oriented and organized approach
  • Well-rounded, creative thinker
  • Strong in account planning (specifically strategy), as well as project management
