Creative Social Media Manager

We are looking for an experienced Social Media and Content Manager to strategically lead a number of key accounts. This person is strategic, creative, and obsessed with social media. They will help us develop creative strategies and lead production teams to bring that vision to life.
The right person for this position is on top of the latest social trends and has a knack for identifying trends early to remain ahead of the curve. This creativity and knowledge will enable them to contribute to strategies for our clients and ensure our work is world-class.
They need to be able to come up with creative ideas, do visual planning and keep the team on the pulse of what's happening on social, with Instagram and TikTok being the primary focus.
Their job is to curate our client’s social media presence, ensuring every touchpoint of the brand is consistent and in-line with the brand’s identity, while pushing creative boundaries. This person will manage graphic designers, copywriters, content creators, and community managers. This will mean briefing them, critiquing their work and ensuring they deliver on time.
Responsibilities
- Developing creative social media strategies
- Identifying and onboarding the right creatives for projects
- Creating detailed briefs for creatives
- Using Monday.com to manage projects and resources meticulously
- Critiquing creative work (copy, design, photography, video) acting as quality assurance
- Developing monthly social media calendars for clients
- Scheduling posts using Later
- Boosting posts
- Generating monthly performance reports (high level)
- Preparing meeting agendas, status updates and progress reports
- Contributing to brainstorming and planning sessions
- Acting as the linchpin and driving force behind social media projects
- Confidently presenting to clients
- Helping to prepare proposals for prospective clients
- Contributing to our internal social media strategy and execution
- Generally kicking ass
Requirements
- 3+ years client-facing account management or social media management in an agency. We’ll consider a combination of agency and brand-side experience, but some agency experience is a must
- Based in the US, with English being your first language or at a minimum being fully fluent
- An in-depth understanding of Instagram and TikTok in particular, with creative best practice being second nature to you
- An in-depth understanding of content marketing
- An in-depth understanding of the content production process and confidence in leading projects with designers, copywriters, photographers and videographers
- Experience with using scheduling tools like Later (or similar)
- Experience developing creative social media strategies ideally both for start-ups with no existing social media presence and for well established brands who need to redefine their image on social
- Experience writing briefs and managing creative teams and freelancers
- The ability to make quick edits to copy, with strong writing capabilities is a big plus
- Must be on the pulse of the latest apps, tools and social platform developments. This person will keep the team up to date on the latest trends and industry news
- An excellent presenter, capable of developing moodboards and visual presentations for clients
- Ability to wear many hats - no job is beneath you
- Tech-savvy and able to learn new tools easily
- Experience with other digital marketing activities such as email and influencer marketing is a big plus
- Experience working in a start-up or smaller agency is a big plus
- Ability to accept feedback gracefully and act on it
- Self-motivated and driven - you work on your own terms so you need to want it
