Position Overview:

The Head of Brand Connections is responsible for growing brand love, awareness, traffic, engagement and sales through a robust and measurable paid influencer marketing program, organic social media, PR, and talent/partnerships. This position will be responsible for developing the overall strategy and working with key internal and external partners to execute and measure results. This role also is responsible for unlocking the power of new programs and channels and developing ideas to drive results (i.e. social selling, sweepstakes, roadshows, PR events.).

This position will work in close partnership with marketing planning and operations, content & creative, media, and field partners.

  • Create and refine organic social strategy, unlocking new channels and optimizing existing. Tap into product launches, cultural moments, seasonality and trends to ultimately educate, inspire, entertain and engage social audiences.
  • Build relationships with lifestyle influencers and thought influencers, build upon existing influencers program.
  • Develop and execute PR strategy (includes lifestyle, fashion and business press).
  • Develop and execute strategy for brand and talent partnerships to grow maurices brand following.
  • Explore new channels and new ways of selling/engaging with customer on social (i.e. FB live or other events to gain sales).
  • Further refine local/brand organic social strategy.
  • Concept and execute seasonal social campaigns that ladder up to overarching marketing stories, thinking about social-first executions that engage new/existing customers.
  • Review and refine internal ambassador program and explore developing external ambassador program.
  • Develop creative briefs to guide content and help develop visual, content and video.
  • Responsible for budget, goal setting and KPI reporting, recommendations for program optimization. Conduct testing, analysis/measurement and optimizations.
  • Manage, coach, build and mentor a team; working closely with appropriate external agencies.
  • Help support additional priorities/special projects as needed.
  • Establish best practices to ensure consistency across all social touchpoints.
  • Bachelor’s degree is marketing, PR or social media preferred and 8+ years of progressive experience.
  • Experience working with talent and creating partnerships.
  • Experience in building and managing influencer programs with proven ROI.
  • Strategic leader who can develop and execute brand partnerships that are both brand building and revenue generating.
  • Eye for aesthetics and branding.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills with ability to multitask.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, a demonstrated sense of urgency and a results-oriented approach. Must have the ability to work under pressure in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment while being flexible with change.
