About the Role:

The Marketing, Brand and Communications team has an ambitious vision to build a compelling brand story and positive reputation for our Company and brands that positions us as the trusted ally in Cyber Safety. We use strategic and creative storytelling to educate and empower consumers to take control of their digital lives while building brand preference and loyalty.

We are evolving quite quickly, aligning to our company strategy as well as staying closely in sync to product and commercial strategies. We need a seasoned global leader to build and scale our content marketing, social media care and community, and influencer marketing programs.

Reporting into the head of Marketing, Brand and Communications, you’ll develop and drive results across these important areas of consumer marketing. The world of social media changes rapidly and our ambition is to build engaging communities, where our fans are advocating on behalf of the company and our products. We have a desire to work with social media influencers who can help us reach and engage our target audiences in authentic and meaningful ways. And, the strength of our content machine should grow with compelling, educational, click-worthy stories and content driving more awareness and understanding of our company, brands and the category of consumer Cyber Safety.

In this role you will lead a team of social media and influencer experts, content writers and community care specialists and partner with many teams across the company to support our shared company objectives. As the global lead, you will provide guidance and direction to our regional teams.

We are a team focused on audience, insights, brand, credibility and presence building and creative storytelling that drives impact. You’ll lead the development of optimizing how these strategies are brought to life, measuring effectiveness and impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a global social media strategy, build engaged communities of loyal customers and fans.
  • Build a strategic and aligned approach to social media communities and social care.
  • Create metrics that drive business impact ensuring that influencer marketing, content marketing and our social communities supports broader marketing and direct-to-consumer objectives.
  • Develop a comprehensive content marketing strategy that uses creative, educational, and engaging content to drive results.
  • Use data to help inform content marketing strategy, program strategy, and decisions on content creation.
  • Create influencer marketing strategy and programs, leveraging these relationships for marketing programs and building up the strength of our brands.
  • Constantly evaluate, test and learn to optimize our social media footprint, content strategy and engagement with social media influencers.
  • Ideate and bring forward creative ways to meet objectives – think consumer, social media and community first.
  • Identify meaningful feedback from our communities and bring back to the business, with an eye towards constant improvements.
  • Create an amazing social media customer care strategy and partner with our customer success team on delivering happy customers in social communities.
  • Create global social campaigns that align to marketing priorities and creative concepts and support product launches, seasonal moments, and ongoing content engagement.
  • Lead a team of content marketing writers, social media community leads, social media customer care experts and influencer marketers.
  • Manage agencies and vendors – optimizing around strategy, efficiency, scale and results.
  • Manage budgets including enterprise technologies/tools and social amplification spend.
  • Create a culture of empowerment and execution – grounded in learnings and results.
  • Stay ahead of the ever-changing nature of social media marketing from platforms to enterprise tools to analytics and measurement ensuring the company understands how any changes impact future plans and strategy.

Qualifications:

  • 15 + years of experience in social media marketing, digital marketing or communications for global consumer brands.
  • Proven track record of building strategy across content marketing, community and influencer marketing with clearly defined measurable impact.
  • A sharp strategist who can build global strategies that connect to broader marketing and business goals.
  • A people leader who can coach and develop a team, drive for performance, inspire loyalty and trust, manage the work and get results.
  • A player/coach approach to developing strategy, leading teams and executing directly.
  • A collaborator and driver who can gain respect and influence at all levels of the organization, a true team player across groups and the ability to drive change.
  • Someone who takes accountability for results and learnings.
  • Strong grasp of social media analytics and measurement. Skilled in using analysis to draw conclusions from data.
  • Comfortable taking risks, testing, experimenting and learning. Calculated and thoughtful approach to test/learn and go big.
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change, strong change management skills; proactive problem solver and scrappy when it comes to finding a new way to do things, and getting the job done.
