Director, Infuencer Marketing

The Director of Influencer Marketing will be responsible for developing and operationalizing Fidelity’s social strategy for influencer marketing, while partnering closely with our internal Paid Media, Media Agency, and Marketing Activation teams on applicable promotion opportunities, and developing standardizes processes. This role, in the Personal Investing (PI) Marketing and Media Channel organization sits within a rapidly growing social media team tasked with the ongoing strategy and operation of client-facing social media activities that drive business results. We are looking for someone proficient in all facets of marketing content creators, including high-level strategic direction, talent selection and vetting, cross-channel activation, and measurement frameworks.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- 8-10 years of digital marketing experience, specializing in social media and/or branded content marketing (agency experience a plus)
- Experience developing, executing, and optimizing social content strategies and programs, either direct or via networks (for a large and/or regulated company highly preferred)
- Positive relationships with PR entities, industry platforms and partners that specialize in branded content marketing. As well as a deep understanding of existing and emerging social media platforms; specifically, how influencers engage and standards for scaling these types of activations on each channel.
- Ability to quickly build connections and trust with business partners as the internal resource for influencer activations.
- A record of building a positive working environment - encouraging honest and productive dialogue, while approaching ambiguity with a growth mentality.
- An advocate for problem solving and owning outcomes, collaborating across multiple teams, internal and external, to accomplish goals.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Desire to stay on top of industry trends, competitor insights, and measurement data to provide well-informed updates to team members.
- Able to balance objectives big and small and adapt as needed to change in direction while maintaining a positive demeanor.
- Knowledge of Financial Services industry and our offerings preferred.
- Experience with Agile principles a plus
The Team
The Director role will be a key member of a cross-functional social team, serving as our internal influencer center of excellence (COE). The Director will support the strategy, execution, and optimization of all content creator partnerships. As the subject matter specialist, it will be important to educate key stakeholders, evangelize content marketing within the organization, and collaborate to provide best in class, differentiated programs. This role will help prioritize the work internally, manage the Legal, Risk and Compliance process and serve as a key resource across internal contacts.
