Social Community Manager
Responsible for guiding all aspects of community management for clients, including representing each brand’s particular voice and using best practices across all publishing channels. Collaboration with media, account, production, strategy and creative is essential to effective community management. Must participate and contribute to the continued growth of the department and all community management efforts by providing strategic direction, contribution, and mentoring of team members recruited to assist as we expand these efforts as an agency. Also responsible for assisting in copywriting tasks, basic contention creation, and content planning, in addition to social posts and community management.
Essential Functions:
- Lead and manage social community management strategies and planning for new and existing clients.
- Continuously monitor channel & content trends and keep the team abreast of updates or changes.
- Have regular interaction with clients and integrated teams either presenting formal strategies or providing support through strategic direction and recommendations.
- Oversee and ensure community management expectations for each client are met in terms of frequency, timing, etc.
- Provide on-going basic content creation/editing/copywriting such as memes, etc.
Community Management Strategy Detail:
- Manage day-to-day community management strategy across all channels, including handling of polls and questions, direct messages, and anything relate to customer service, engagement and crisis management.
- Create and update agency guidelines for community management practices to create consistency within response strategies based on client goals and social media presence.
- Collaborate with media, account, production, strategy and creative teams to develop smart, impactful and measurable recommendations for community management.
- Contribute ideas to increase engagement with followers and follower count based on established channel strategies.
- Leverage social listening tools to regularly identify social conversations that clients may naturally align with; suggesting proactive response ideas that may also trigger new content creation.
- Where a crisis or negative topic arises, alert account and content management immediately with proposed solutions.
- As part of community management duties, write copy and create content that is on brand and voice.
- Train other social community managers and content publishing team members on community management best practices as assigned.
- Participate in frequent internal and client status meetings.
- Contribute to client reporting.
Other Responsibilities:
- Actively respond to social media conversations outside of business hours, including weekends.
- Understands and abides by the agency’s business practices, core values, philosophies and understands R&R’s branded process, policies and procedures.
- Depending on client, office location or business needs, some travel may be required.
- Participate in agency training and development, such as R&R media’s 101-201 training.
- Take on additional assignments as needed.

- Develops solid understanding of assigned client business verticals, objectives and strategies.
- Maintains accurate daily time sheets.
- Maintains a business appropriate appearance and demeanor with clients and in other professional environments.
- Must be conscientious and self-motivated.
- Must be willing to work overtime when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in advertising or related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in leading digital/social content/content creation plans and efforts. Ideally active in social media across all platforms, as well as familiar with influencer marketing.
- Experienced in publishing within the following platforms (paid + organic): Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Linkedin, Pinterest.
