LilyAna Naturals is looking to hire an experienced Chief Digital Officer (CDO) who will be responsible for building and leading cohesive, data-driven teams that drive growth for the entire company.

We seek a great leader who possesses a strategic and analytical mindset and has demonstrated success in scaling and monetizing a Direct to Consumer (DTC) brand, preferably within the beauty space.

The CDO will bring excellent business acumen and perspective, an ability to identify opportunities, diagnose and solve problems, adapt quickly to change, and pull the appropriate levers to expedite impactful growth. The CDO’s ability to manage and measure work will be central to his/her success, as will an ability to deeply analyze marketing data while constantly refining strategy.

The CDO will be responsible for growing the company’s customer base, retaining its customers, increasing revenues and profits, driving engagement and retention, as well as leading creative, brand, and communications strategies.

The CDO will oversee all marketing content initiatives - both internal and external - across multiple platforms and formats to attract, convert, and retain customers, and should be capable of evaluating the long-term impact of campaigns that will drive brand value. The CDO will be a strong leader who grows brand awareness by creating a narrative or storyline that will bring out the brand's greatness.



Key Responsibilities:

Strategy

  • Manage planning, development, and implementation of all sales-driving marketing initiatives as well as analyze results and make recommendations for future improvements
  • Perform deep competitive landscape analyses, developing perspectives on forward looking trends and opportunities within the market
  • Develop long-term vision on how to maximize lifetime value of customers through product and service offerings

Innovation

  • Create, design, implement and test the company’s customer acquisition and retention strategy including online (paid media, owned media, affiliate marketing) and offline strategies (retail)
  • Innovate strategies for product and service enhancement, deepen customer insights, and enhance product development
  • Match evolving trends with technological advancements, both in brand messaging and on the platform to develop effective campaigns
  • Solve complex problems

Creation

  • Develop marketing content in a scalable, systematic framework for use across multiple platforms (paid media, email, social media, etc.) resulting in positive ROI while driving brand narrative and product offerings
  • Oversee and further develop internal and external creative teams, allowing for content production at world-class levels

Leadership

  • Develop and contribute at the executive level to the organization
  • Possess a thoughtful understanding of the psychology of the customer and team members
  • Maintain and grow company culture, employee satisfaction/retention, client satisfaction and client retention
  • Understand and navigate the consumer’s desire for ethical and sustainable company practices
  • Develop and hold team accountable for execution and achievement of critical KPIs

Execution

  • Lead and further develop paid marketing teams across digital platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest and Youtube
  • Manage and scale the existing influencer marketing program, translating to positive ROI
  • Manage and oversee owned media marketing programs (email and SMS)
  • Analyze social media data from platforms (currently Instagram, TikTok and Facebook); manage and execute upon follower growth initiatives
  • Oversee blog content development and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy, with the aim of becoming a domain expert in beauty
  • Oversee management of the DTC store while optimizing for conversion and customer retention, including the build out of bespoke components including a personalization quiz and checkout carts
  • Oversee development of effective video and social media creatives

Measurement

  • Establish clear and measurable short- and long-term goals
  • Develop and maintain a robust KPI system for tracking performance

Reporting

  • Prepare materials and present results to the Board of Directors
  • Attend and lead company meetings
