Description

Join our burgeoning beauty brand and become a fundamental part of our marketing team. We are looking for a strategic and business-focused creative lead with experience working in house in leading consumer brands to lead our creative strategy, grow our internal team, and create an unforgettable brand experience rooted in culture and storytelling. The ideal candidate is experienced in leading creative strategy, and has a passion for creative and brand strategy, creative direction, product design and product development and digital experiences

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all design projects - including print, web, and packaging - from concept to execution to:
  • Ensure quality and brand consistency across projects and mediums
  • Elevate brand identity
  • Support the team’s strategic objectives
  • Manage timeline & budget for on-time delivery
  • Advocate for the brand - develop and refine a visual brand identity; bring it to life across all channels.
  • Create and manage systems to scale output and increase quality.
  • Mentor graphic design team to foster their emerging talent and build their skillset
  • Art direction of photo and video shoots and supervise external photographers, illustrators and other related freelancers
  • Build an inspiring brand vision leveraging what’s been built to date and continually moving it forward with creativity and relevancy.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to drive consumer engagement with our brand, our community and our business.
  • Generate innovative ideas and campaigns in social media, print, and brand.
  • Create and drive multi-channel marketing campaigns across paid media, social, CRM/email among others that translate our vision into revenue.
  • Hire, train and lead a high performance team of full time and freelance creatives to deliver brand experiences and content across all channels.
  • Evolve and optimize processes and standards that help the Creative and Marketing teams scale effectively.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to develop brand-marketing strategies and new ideas and initiatives to continue to build brand loyalty and engagement.
  • Be a strong creative and disciplined operator who can push the boundaries creatively and run and inspire a collaborative team culture.
  • Learn from the brand founders and collaborate and along with the CMO move their vision and the OSEA brand forward
  • Create and manage brand tools/systems to uphold our brand across all company outputs.
  • Be passionate about pushing creativity and experimentation where relevant.

Requirements

  • 10+ years designing brand experiences across all marketing channels with a focus on digital experience
  • 4+ years working in-house building an admirable brand is a plus
  • 5+ years managing a team of direct reports either full time or part time including designers, copywriters and/or content teams
  • Portfolio of brand marketing and communications work demonstrating performance and communications fluency; brand identity, campaigns, OOH, social, emails, mobile and desktop design.
  • A love of design, and a passion for creative excellence, branding, and visual communication
  • Excellent taste and an understanding of the beauty and lifestyle consumer market
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • An experienced storyteller - you are able to break down complex, detailed information into easy to consume, compelling stories, visuals and user experiences.
  • A passion for the user experience and the digital space, and an understanding of insights and analytics and how to turn those into business driving creative ideas.
  • Expertise in communication design (layout, typography, color).
  • Proven experience in digital marketing and performance media, video content creation, influencer marketing, campaign building and managing external agencies and partners.
  • Proficiency with design tools (Adobe Creative Suite) and marketing channels (digital media, website, landing pages, email, direct mail, print, OOH and social).
  • Worked with Product designers, UX and UI designers.
  • You have experience in packaging creation, working with PD and understanding materials and print possibilities
  • Comfort in a fast-paced, high-growth, and lean digital marketing environment.
  • Strong desire for growth and love of a challenge
  • Interests in beauty, health, wellness, and sustainability
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, non-verbal, intuitive, psychic, etc)
  • Must be willing to fall in love with our products, meditate with our team and have fun while we work!
