Role Summary
Storytelling is at the forefront of how we create beautiful and transformational experiences that delight our customers. We strive to understand and predict our customers' needs and emotions, leveraging these insights to inform the design of compelling experiences throughout the Geoship customer journey.
As Geoship's first full-time marketing hire, you will play a key role in creating our brand voice and developing and executing a content marketing plan across multiple channels. You will be responsible for helping us tell our story and the stories of our dome-loving customers.
You will also play an important role in managing Geoship's message through non-traditional channels including events. As a very early member of an early-stage team, you will be involved in long-term strategy as well as highly tactical day-to-day execution. Reporting directly to the Co-Founder/CEO, this is a rare opportunity to help an early-stage, purpose-driven company build a more beautiful future for mankind.
Responsibilities
- Develop a content marketing plan, and execute.
- Build brand awareness through tactics that take into account Geoship's current size and growth strategy.
- Work with our design team (supplemented with freelancers) to develop content, brand assets, and experiences that bring our customers through oceans of joy.
- Work closely with our external PR agency on content and communications strategy.
- Lead launch communications for company announcements.
- Grow brand following through content creation, email marketing, and social media.
- Cultivate online and offline relationships with influencers in the regenerative renaissance.
- Perform market testing to understand messaging effectiveness and evolve our brand.
- Develop and manage segmentation strategies based on customer insights.
- Co-write news letters and social media posts with the Geoship founders.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of marketing experience at a fast-growing consumer-facing company (ideally experience in content marketing and working on a brand from an early stage).
- Articulate storyteller, must be able to both speak and write with passion and clarity.
Preferred Skills And Experience
- Deadline-driven. You make creating high quality content in an evolving environment look easy.
- Able to break down complex concepts and explain them simply.
- Experience working across a wide variety of marketing channels including media, influencer marketing, and content within a startup environment with limited resources.
- Excited about rolling up your sleeves and doing the work, rather than managing people who do it.
- Strong intuition and understanding of what makes great creative. Good at giving direction to designers.
- Demonstrated interest in mindfulness, healing, and environmental restoration.
- Experience working with Marketing Automation platforms and executing integrated digital marketing campaigns.
- Experience architecting communication journeys, developing compelling email and social marketing programs, preferably with Active Campaign and its suite of tools.
- Experience managing customer communication programs that deliver personalized, clear, and concise messages to customers, driving engagement and growth without compromising our values.
- Highly organized and self-motivated with a sense of urgency.
- Interest in learning new marketing technologies and applying them to the regenerative renaissance.
