About Treecard

Treecard is building the leading green finance ecosystem. We’re powered by Ecosia, the search engine that has planted trees over 125M trees to date and has over 30M monthly active users.

We are founded on the pledge to direct 80% of all profits to reforestation projects and sustainable investments and are on a mission to plant 1 billion trees by 2026. We have raised $5.1m to date and have built a waiting list of over 160,000 people, with 40% of all sign ups being referred by a friend or family. We signed up over 100,000 users to our waiting list in the first month of our announcement (breaking all of Revolut, Monzo and Curve's launch records).

Our first product is a wooden debit card that plants free trees as you spend. We plan to launch our card program in late summer 2021. Beyond that, we look to build out a suite of green financial services that put profits to work to protect and restore the planet.

Social Media and Community Manager

We are looking for someone to drive our early growth helping to build and scale Treecard’s customer base from the ground up. The role will be multifaceted, comprising everything from brainstorming out-of-the-box growth experiments, to testing, optimising, and reporting on influencer campaigns, to managing Treecard's social accounts.

  • Be the eyes and ears of the Treecard community for the team, sourcing community stories that have been shared across our social channels that we could showcase to the world.
  • Drive new customer acquisition through influencer marketing, content marketing, video marketing, and more.
  • Continuously evolve our channel and content strategy through analysis of data to understand what is working and what's not working.
  • Monitor social media trends and the competitive landscape so we can create strategic decisions for the brand. Share learnings and best practices with the wider team.
  • Report on the success of our content across relevant channels, and report back on how this supports overall business goals with the support of the Growth team.
  • Take your projects from start to finish. You are able to create the plan and execute on all parts of it.
  • Support with the development of an ongoing content calendar to ensure a constant supply of relevant content across our social channels.
  • Identify, implement and measure new growth tactics and marketing methods.
  • Develop original and innovative content and strategies to improve SEO and increase brand awareness.
  • Create viral growth through referral marketing and other growth hacking techniques.
  • Get hands-on with content creation across our social media channels to bring your ideas to life.

Requirements

  • Independence and drive. We want Treecard to have a significant positive impact on the planet. We are looking for self-starters who want to make this a reality, and help us plant 1 billion trees
  • A creative thinker with hands-on experience creating content.
  • A passion for creating content that inspires, educates and entertains.
  • A love for video content and ability to create content in video formats.
  • Experience running or managing influencer campaigns
  • Strong copywriting and reviewing skills.
  • Someone who loves approaching social media with a data-driven mindset.
  • Expert knowledge of social media networks, and how best to leverage them (Including but not limited to Instagram, Twitter and TikTok). Proven results in generating and growing these channels.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn rapidly and work autonomously - we expect you to figure out what you need to do, and how to do it, without a huge amount of hand holding.
  • You thrive in ambiguity and constant change, and enjoy creating order out of unstructured challenges.
