What we’re looking for:

As the Marketing Associate, you will support all aspects of marketing at Sugarfina and play a key role in building the brand to existing customers, potential new customers, media, influencers, business partners, brand partners, and helping develop our in-store customer experience. You’ll report to our Vice President of Marketing, contributing to Sugarfina’s omnichannel marketing efforts including supporting campaigns, events and collaborations, executing social media and influencer marketing strategies, and helping generate publicity and buzz for all things Sugarfina. By taking the lead in organizing our marketing calendar, programs and events, you’ll support our ability to keep customers excited about our brand. You’ll work closely with our Vice President of Marketing to develop retail marketing programs that support new product launches, spread brand awareness, drive traffic, help conversion and launch new markets. You’ll work cross-functionally with various teams including Creative, Legal, Operations, and Retail and have the opportunity to demonstrate excellent creative and analytical thinking.

Responsibilities:

PR & Communications

  • Supports PR efforts including, but not limited to drafting press releases, preparing media pitches and asset packages for external partners, conducting press and influencer outreach, press gifting and influencer seeding that aligns with new product launches, holiday campaigns, and collaborations.
  • Supports execution of PR-related events as needed, including Press Days and Product Launch events attended by media and influencers

Social Media

  • Supports the organization’s social media efforts including managing an organized calendar with new content ideas, partnering with the Creative Team on asset creation and managing timelines and to- do lists. The ideal candidate will build regional communities, partnerships in target markets by identifying key influencers, content creators, outlets and brand advocates along with strategic members of the press at national, regional and local levels.
  • Leads the conversation over social media and help execute by scheduling posts, playing a direct role in developing our brand voice while building community and managing inbound and outbound activity on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter & Pinterest
  • Helps manage influencer content creation & gifting via influencer marketing platform

Retail Marketing

  • Supports Director of Marketing with planning and execution for all retail marketing initiatives including promotions, merchandising, customer experience, samples and retail events that focus on customer acquisition, loyalty and conversion
  • Gatekeeper for retail marketing queries for DMs, BMs and Retail Ops and organize retail marketing calendar
  • Creates engaging materials and resources that inform and excite the retail fleet and Mall Marketing Teams about our marketing programs that contain all information on promotions, events and product launches happening at our boutiques

Brand & Operations

  • Identifies and helps execute key events and conferences intended to drive wide-scale awareness and brand placement that align with strategy and budget. Tasks include but are not limited to creating run of shows, collaborating with cross-functional teams, event set-up and breakdown
  • Vets inbound opportunities and conducts analysis on marketing initiatives including PR & Communications, Social Media and Retail Marketing and track monthly burn of marketing budget
  • Assist with additional administrative tasks as assigned Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of marketing experience; marketing major preferred
  • Quantitative skills with ability to organize, analyze and report sales data and translate findings into
  • strategic recommendations
  • Proven ability to work independently and efficiently, handling time-sensitive projects and prioritizingmultiple objectives simultaneously. Meeting deadlines and drive projects to completion with minimumguidance and acute attention to detail in a cross-functional, team-based environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • A passion for luxury and lifestyle brands
  • Only local candidates to Los Angeles, California will be considered.

Education & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing required
  • Minimum 2 years of marketing experience
  • Quantitative skills with ability to organize, analyze and report sales data and translate findings into strategic recommendations
  • Proven ability to work independently and efficiently, handling time-sensitive projects and prioritizing multiple objectives simultaneously. Meeting deadlines and drive projects to completion with minimum guidance and acute attention to detail in a cross-functional, team-based environment.
