ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE, SOCIAL & INFLUENCER

Role Overview
WCG has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate self-starter to join our agency as an account executive. The ideal candidate has a passion for brand building and is interested in working alongside experienced professionals across accounts in the food and lifestyle sectors. While this is a generalist position, special consideration will be given to individuals with a background in social media and influencer marketing.
This position will be based in our Chicago office, but is currently a work-from-home position until further notice as a COVID-19 pandemic safety measure.
Core Responsibilities
- Drafting social calendar content and ensuring social content is uploaded accurately and on time
- Daily community management and social listening
- Work alongside team members to create and implement paid social ads
- Vet influencer requests and proactively identify potential influencer partners
- Creation of influencer briefing materials
- Conduct influencer outreach and manage and grow influencer relationships
- Regular tracking, monitoring and measurement
- Manage day-to-day client activities, including social calendar development, community management and influencer marketing
- Contribute to status updates, reporting and analysis
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of integrated marketing communications activations that meet and exceed client objectives
- Execute multiple projects from conception to completion by anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline adherence
- Aid in new firm business process including idea contribution, research, and proposal preparation
- Contribute to a positive and engaging team and workplace culture
- Commit to continuous learning and creative thinking; set and pursue goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or related field from an accredited college or university
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in integrated marketing communications (agency experience preferred)
- Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong research, writing, and editing skills, along with attention to detail
- Expertise with social media platforms and tools
- Interest in learning about new marketing trends or channels
- Ability to work with influencers and content creators to tell a brand’s story in an engaging/compelling way
- Able to thrive and be flexible in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Takes a solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving and issues management
- Knowledge or experience with WordPress or similar content management systems
- Prior experience supporting food/beverage, lifestyle, or international brand work a plus
