Join us.The Director of Strategy and Operations will be responsible for the senior and executive business management for all Mobile. The Director of Strategy and Operations, directly supports the Head of Mobile in all matters and provides strategic advice and management of daily operations of the Mobile business. Ideally to ensure executive readiness and create capacity for his/her direct leader.The Director of Strategy and Operations, plans and directs all administrative, financial, communications and business operations for the organization and acts as a point of contact between top management, employees, customers and stakeholders while providing oversight and guidance to projects critical to the organization.The Director of Strategy and Operations is responsible for a wide range of duties in support of the health of the entire organization including, but not limited to, key business processes and service delivery areas, staffing and personnel, business operations, project management, executive communications, events, executive meeting readiness and information technology and development.
Role and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Partnering with the leadership team to track strategic initiatives and monitoring of progress towards meeting goals and achieving benchmarks and ensuring follow-through on the part of staff responsible to drive initiatives.
- Ensure we have a management reporting system that allows for a timely flow of necessary data and information and decision support.
- Setting of agendas and crafting of communications to team members and stakeholders to ensure that actions are taken to address key issues for key weekly and HQ meetings.
- Holds regular meetings in relations to projects, company progress and personnel-related issues.
- Meet with staff and key stakeholders to ensure that progress is maintained to meet organizational objectives and to foster strong, collaborative working relationships.
- Facilitation of strategic planning and goal setting activities including performance measurement and reporting systems.
- Supports the Executive in partner/customer/field visits and calls and ensure that follow-up actions are documented completed and results recorded.
- Supports the Executive in internal events, HQ meeting preparation; internal and external communications/customer events and customer engagements.
- Work directly with members of the community and provide accurate information pertaining to organization.
Job Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in business management, finance or accounting is preferred, and at least 15+ years of equivalent work experience in marketing, contracts, analytics, business planning, or finance; Master’s Degree highly preferred
- Proven track record having helped profitably grow a business, having developed and implemented the appropriate polices and processes necessary to drive and manage a business with specific metrics and discipline.
- Strong strategic planning and operations skills
- Outstanding skills, financial acumen, organizational planning and talent selection skills required.
- A proven self-starter, he/she must be a highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good business judgment, and outstanding managerial leadership ability.
- Excellent communication skills required (both written and verbal)
Skills and Qualifications
The following skills and abilities must be demonstrated at a proficient level:
- The ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company.
- Read and interpret sales and marketing documents, invoices, contracts or related document
- Proven success in a highly dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
- Should have advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint knowledge and skills.
- Strong communication, both written (PPT presentations) and oral skills.
- The ability to work either independently or in a team environment to achieve personal and team project goals, including the completion of assignments within and exceeding established time frames. A strong influencer with the relevant skills.
Necessary Skills & Attributes:
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels within and outside the company.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects.
- Review detailed product development, marketing documents and media materials as needed.
- Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external personnel at various levels.
- Work independently and in a team environment in order to achieve customer business objectives, personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications.
- The ability to develop tasks and work assignments, based on sometime vaguely defined objectives.
Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions:
- The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:
- Work is generally performed in an office environment.
- Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal 50% of work time, including prolonged periods of time.
- The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time under 25 pounds.
- Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive job stress, fatigue, unpaid over-time, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and business management stress.
- Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids representative and commonly associated with PCs, printers, and office work areas.
- Frequently works additional hours beyond normal schedule.
- Under very little direct supervision with a high level of responsibility to apply general policies and guidelines where decisions are seldom monitored and consequences of decisions adversely affect operating results and management decisions. Complete access to confidential company data where disclosure may jeopardize the company’s competitive position.
