Role Description

What impact will you have in this role?

As the MBG’s North America (NA) Marketing Lead reporting to the MBG NA Business Lead, you will work with the NA Leadership team to localize and extend the global marketing strategy and priorities. Responsibilities include NA Marketing strategy, brand marketing, content creation, web and social (digital channels) team collaboration, NA marketing campaign creation, coordination, and execution in partnership with NA regional Field Marketing Specialists.

You will collaborate with MBG NA field marketing, sales, alliance, portfolio, and Cognizant/Microsoft marketing peers to understand market challenges and opportunities and develop marketing programs and campaigns that build awareness and drive measurable results both directly in the NA market but also across the entire MBG NA ecosystem. Work closely with relevant leadership to plan and execute throughout the year.

  • Work closely with the GTM Marketing and Communications Director to ensure quality, on-brand campaigns and content creation enabling both a central and NA marketing strategy connected with Cognizant field marketing and MBG field marketing sell-with Microsoft motions.
  • Work hand-in-hand with Regional Field Marketing Leads to form a scalable, insights-driven NA and field marketing rhythm of the business that drives brand awareness and pipeline.

What will you be doing day-to-day?

  • Oversee the development and delivery of key NA events and campaigns that increase brand awareness, reputation in the market, generates new sales and revenue, and strengthen relationships with key advisors.
  • Demonstrate leadership, be a contributing member to the MBG Marketing Center of Excellence, and be the trusted NA Marketing Leader and strategist to the NA Business Lead and GTM Marketing and Communications Director
  • Working with Cognizant NA Marketing and MBG NA regional Field Marketing Specialists, create and execute an always-on NA marketing strategy and plan focused on generating awareness, new pipeline, leveraging multiple marketing channels including social, web, email, direct, and influencer marketing, sponsorships and events.
  • Working effectively with agencies, contractors, and in-sourced and offshore resources, as needed, to ensure delivery of consistent deliverables aligned with Cognizant MBG standards.
  • Be a leader championing the MBG win wire and client case study program.

Content Management

    • Collaborate with the GTM Central Marketing team to create, adopt and extent core MBG collateral which includes boilerplate presentations, brand guidelines, win wire templates, client case study program, eBooks, flyers, etc.
    • Demonstrate familiarity and experience with social media platforms such as Twitter, Vimeo and LinkedIn to push relevant content to the market establishing the MBG as the greatest Microsoft partner the world has ever seen.
    • In collaboration with NA Regional Field Marketing Specialists, build a content plan in support of key NA MBG field and Cognizant/Microsoft marketing strategies and priorities to support both awareness and demand generation.
    • Connect with MBG NA leadership and experts to gather relevant messaging and thought leadership.

Metrics, Data & Insights

    • Track the effectiveness and ROI of marketing programs leveraging marketing automation (Marketo), Salesforce tools and social/digital platforms.
    • Measure success and impact as well as the ability to suggest new measurements of success

What type of experience do you need to be successful in this role?

  • 10+ years of experience and proven success in channel marketing in IT and a proven track record of establishing new and innovative ways to market.
  • 5+ years leading communications strategy and execution in a large and geographically dispersed business.
  • Prior experience developing and executing marketing programs leveraging email, internet, social media, event and direct marketing channels.
  • Excellent project management skills and proven ability to lead cross-functional, cross-regional teams to complete objectives on time and within budget.
  • Previous experience managing multiple stakeholders in a highly matrixed model.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including at executive level.
  • Ability to align tactical execution with strategic vision.
  • Previous experience with Accenture, Deloitte, TCS, or similarly focused technology services or consulting firms.

What education and certification credentials are needed for this role?

  • A. or B.S. degree (MBA preferred).
