Articles Manager - West Elm
Job Description
The West Elm Articles Manager will own the strategy and production of our new articles content—weekly snackable, clickable, service stories that are shoppable, sharable, and search friendly. This role will work closely with the social media team, partnerships & influencer marketing team, creative team, and merchandising team.
Responsibilities
Partner with Content Director and content managers to plan and execute all article content
Prepare, organize, and maintain content calendar for article content
Collaborate and communicate with social media, partnerships & influencer marketing, creative, and merchandising around article content planning
Create all article content copy through a combination of writing and assigning/editing
Manage freelance contributor budget
Maintain and process freelance contributor contracts and invoices
Partner with Content Director and content managers to maintain brand voice best practices
Partner with social team to leverage articles content for social platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, and Pinterest
Partner with creative team to produce any visuals necessary to illustrate articles and social iterations of articles
Partner with project management and site teams to publish all article content on westelm.com
Requirements and Qualifications
6+ years of experience in an editorial or content creation role
A high level of attention to detail, especially with copy voice and photo direction
Self-starter who will take initiative on leveraging article content in new and exciting ways
Able to create systems and efficiencies that will benefit the team
Works well in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge and interest in the design industry
Enthusiastic team player
Knowledge of WordPress and Adobe Creative Suite
Track record of successfully managing multiple projects at once
