The Role

As the Brand Marketing Coordinator at Jellysmack you’ll be responsible for helping to implement the strategic vision of Jellysmack’s brand positioning across all internal and external-facing materials, as well as helping to execute all aspects of the marketing plan including brand advertising/media, sponsorships, event marketing, experiential campaigns, creator gifting, and public relations efforts.

You will work cross-functionally across the organization and be tasked with fostering strong relationships to bring your projects to fruition including working with Creative Services, Creator Partnerships, Creator Success, Performance Marketing, Human Resources, Data/Analytics, Acquisition Media, Product Development, Operations, and our internal IT teams. You will play a key role in working with external agencies for design, copywriting, production, public relations, giveaway items, and other services.

Requirements

The Responsibilities

The Coordinator of Brand Marketing will assist the team in driving brand awareness, supporting creator retention, and engendering overall brand loyalty and affinity through direct and co-branded marketing campaigns. Given the strategic nature of this role, qualified candidates must have both strong qualitative and quantitative skills. Core responsibilities include:

  • Create and manage the company’s global marketing calendar that tracks all planned initiatives, key creator milestones, events/holidays, sponsorships and PR initiatives.
  • Gather information from cross-functional partners, and oversee the distribution of the marketing calendar, ensuring details are accurate and that all teams are kept well-informed.
  • Manage marketing and PR updates and upload key news to the company’s websites and blog in partnership with Content teams.
  • Assist the VP of Marketing with all aspects of vendor management including new vendor account set-up, payments, invoicing, contracts and other logistics.
  • Assist the VP of Marketing with all aspects of department budgeting and invoicing.
  • Support the department with the scheduling of key meetings and calendar upkeep, coordinating with cross-functional teams as needed to ensure attendance.
  • Traffic the creation of all marketing materials internally and with external vendors ensuring all materials are designed, approved and produced in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the Marketing department’s project management platform and ensure all projects are properly entered and tracked to account for project status and deadlines.
  • Support the marketing team in communicating details about all planned U.S. marketing initiatives to cross-functional teams for visibility and ensure that marketing news is disseminated to employees, partners, and across social media where applicable.
  • Support the implementation of the company’s worldwide Creator gifting program to recognize creators for accomplishing key growth objectives -- helping to select gift ideas, assisting in the management of gift inventory/production, and coordinating all aspects of gift fulfilment, delivery and replenishment.
    • Monitor global creator milestones to ensure timely production and delivery of gifts.
    • Partner with global Creator teams on new signings and gifting needs.
    • Monitor and provide the business with status updates on the success of the program.
  • Support cross-functional teams and human resources in the sourcing of and management of all promotional giveaways, merch and other branded-items.
  • Assist in the implementation of all sponsorship and media campaigns by ensuring all marketing assets (images, logos, photos, copy, credits, taglines, ad units, videos, etc.) are developed and provided to partners in a timely manner to meet campaign deadlines.
  • Produce clipping decks / recaps with screenshots of all marketing programs and results.
  • Partner with Marketing leadership to craft presentation materials, pitch decks and other collateral.
  • Support the team in the development and execution of all brand and company marketing events including creator conferences, panel sessions, tradeshows, experiential activations, online conferences, and parties.

The Qualifications

The right person for this role is a creative and curious self-starter, who is eager to learn and highly interested in the creator economy, influencer marketing, entertainment, digital media, social media, and pop-culture.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years overall experience preferably in a media/technology/entertainment role
  • This person has experience in navigating cross-functional relationships within and outside an organization.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills and is able to work with creative personalities, talent, managers, agencies, brands, studios, vendors, and internal departments to realize their objectives.
  • Understands the importance of brand integrity and brand image.
