ROLE

Brand Manager will be responsible for leading the Global color equity and collection business for the OPI brand. This Delivery/go-to-market role will focus on developing strategies and executing plans to win with nail technicians & end consumers and drive distribution and consumption.

The incumbent will play a critical role in partnering with the Global based Design team to enable a robust masterplan and with the Global Trade Marketing, Art Department, Digital & Social Teams, PR/Influencer marketing, Education and sales organization to create go-to-market plans that grow the brand.

Reporting to a Marketing Director, you will lead a cross functional team to drive the business through increasing brand awareness and breaking down barriers to disrupt the nail market.

  • Owning the business: You’ll understand the sales trends, customer trends, and stay up-to-date on industry trends to make strategic choices and actions to drive the business. You’ll help manage the brand budget within corporate processes and procedures, holding responsibility for the brand P&L. You’ll track business results, analyze and derive insights from consumer and sales data, and provide actionable strategies and brand plans.
  • Driving brand vision and strategies to enable the team to deliver with excellence on GTM plans. The vision and strategies must be in-line with brand equity and visual identity.
  • Leading and collaborating with high performing cross functional team to deliver key brand initiatives that are fit to win in the market.
  • Help develop and execute the brand marketing plan designed to win with both nail technicians and end consumers
  • Lead development of marketing plans for all product and commercial initiatives, including thought leadership programs, events, awareness advertising and others
  • Implement integrated marketing plan to extend core communication strategies across all elements of marketing mix, including advertising, web, content, PR and social media
  • Work closely with GNPD, TCD, cross functional teams to make sure initiative is gates and ships on time
  • Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment
  • Help support color innovations and development by ensuring new shades are in line with brand strategy, trends, and future needs shared by nail technicians, retailers and customers.
  • Work with Global art department to create on-brand assets for collections and base business through marketing creative brief & briefing process
  • Post analysis of all initiatives not only on sell out of OPI, but also POS data from key accounts/retailers
  • Work with Global key markets to create IMP master plan and make sure OPI has solid market activation plans by working with Global Trade Marketing
  • Work closely with GNPD on initiatives and Gate process

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years relevant work experience in marketing or brand management, preferably in beauty industry (nail industry a plus).
  • Knowledge and experience across all areas of brand management (global, local, media planning including digital, influencer marketing, market analysis, market research, P&L management, marketing plans development…). Marketing mastery and executional excellence
  • Strong strategic skills, and eye for beauty and creative
  • Strong analytical skills and digitally savvy
  • Strong creative skills to properly evaluate
  • Must be a self-starter, needs to be able to act with agility. Nail Professional market is constantly evolving & changing. Will need to be able to stay focused on key priorities but also adapt quickly to a changing landscape
  • Strong presentation and communication skills. Ability to show leadership, work alongside and present to senior management
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Operational & financial discipline
  • Driven & ambitious leader with strong sense of ownership, accountability, strong collaboration skills (win for the team) and action oriented mentality. Strong leadership and consistent collaboration across multi-functional and customer teams is critical to driving engagement in and alignment to strategies and executions. Needs to demonstrate the ability to Energize, Engage and Enable the team to deliver with excellence on long lead innovation, GTM strategies and plans. And in result create a high functioning team
  • Proficient computer knowledge - MS Office (specifically Excel, PowerPoint)
  • A bachelor's degree is required, and an MBA is preferred.
