EvolveMKD is looking for a dynamic, energetic, and proactive Senior Account Executive to join our traditional public relations team. This position provides the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, creative environment with a collaborative team.

Job Overview

A successful SAE at EvolveMKD will have strong written and verbal communications skills, and has a proven track record of generating results. They should be a self-starter with strong research, project management, and organization skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and a sense of curiosity. We expect that team members at this level have an inner sense of “restless discontent,” i.e. they are constantly looking to elevate their client work and their personal skill set. A successful SAE at EvolveMKD will be able to serve as a proxy for the account lead on small-scale accounts (ie. just 2-3 team members on the day to day team) on their own when needed. We also expect all team members to demonstrate a strong problem-solving abilities and inner drive, as EvolveMKD is a fast-paced, start-up environment.

Passion and enthusiasm for the work, as well as team collaboration and respect are required.

Key Responsibilities:

Client and Account Management

  • Develop and grow client relationships
  • Manage day-to-day work flow across direct reports, peers, clients, vendors and freelancers, and report into account lead(s)
  • Work hand-in-hand with the account lead to oversee all client initiatives from start-to-finish in a timely matter, present fresh new partnership/event/mailer ideas, and ultimately deliver results
  • Help develop forward facing six- or twelve-month plans and execute overarching brand initiatives and promotional campaigns with an emphasis on proposal development, execution timeline, and budget management, with vendor coordination as necessary
  • Help drive clients’ business goals and objectives through ongoing research and monitoring within their category and against competitors
  • Assist in the development of new business proposals

Media Relations & Influencer Relations

  • Proactively develop and grow media and influencer relationships through ongoing outreach and outings
  • Craft relevant, creative pitches and thorough media/influencer lists to secure quality, high-impact placements and social media coverage for client brands across different industries on a regular basis
  • Drive strategy and execute promptly, ensuring no email or question goes by unread
  • Fulfill all media-related requests and inquiries in a timely manner

Team Development

  • Be able to “manage up” and effectively communicate issues/successes to your manager
  • Manage and mentor junior staff or any freelancers
  • Execute quarterly reviews for direct report(s)

Qualifications:

  • 4 – 5+ years of relevant agency PR experience
  • Bachelor’s degree; degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Marketing a plus but not required
  • Big picture thinker, with strong writing, copy-editing, and presentation skills
  • Ability to ideate and execute end-to-end client strategy, down to the small details
  • Proven track record of generating results
  • Personal time management skills; ability to work quickly under pressure without sacrificing quality
  • Highly organized, responsive, and punctual
  • Problem solving skills and inner drive to improve efficiency and delivery beyond expectations for both the agency and for clients
  • Experience in beauty and/or healthcare preferred
