We are currently seeking a Social Media Manager for our growing E-commerce brand.
This person will be responsible for planning, developing, executing and monitoring Commodity’s organic social media campaigns across all platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.) to increase brand awareness, engagement and community size, and ultimately drive activity to our website to increase sales. The role is also responsible for using quantifiable KPIs to illustrate the efficacy of those campaigns as well as championing and leveraging any new features while supporting the production of engaging, optimized content in-line with business goals. The ideal candidate for this role lives and breathes social media and is knowledgeable about current trends with a proven track record of using social media to increase brand awareness and engagement. This candidate will also understand the power of influencer marketing and content creators, partnering with the PR, Affiliate, Marketing and Creative teams to support business objectives. Part of a small, very collaborative team that works on everything from emails, to events, to campaigns, we need a team player who is willing to work on all tasks big or small.
This is a full-time role that can be based in New Jersey and partly-remotely.
Responsibilities
· Lead social strategy and drive meaningful growth for our brand and our business while partnering with the creative, marketing, PR and Affiliate teams to create relevant, optimized content across all social channels.
· Roll out targeted social campaigns that align with business goals, brand building, community growth, product launches, promotional periods, and other brand milestones
· Grow followers and brand advocates by improving engagement across all organic social channels
· Develop social metrics reporting, lead hind-sighting, identify trends and regularly communicate insights, key learnings and recommendations to brand. Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal / qualitative data into action.
· A/B test posts and copy. Work closely with analytics team to measure the value and impact of our social media channels and campaigns. Use data to optimize and iterate on the approach
· Establish social media guidelines for all channels, including all internal and external teams/partners
· Build and maintain all social media communities and become an advocate for the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate- Monitor, listen and respond to users on daily basis, conduct online advocacy and open stream for cross-promotion
· Own UCG initiatives and campaigns from start to finish with an overall goal to create more submissions and generate UGC
· Oversee all contests, sweepstakes and giveaways leveraging across all channels with a goal of engagement and growth
· Stay informed on the constantly changing landscape of social media, spotting industry and cultural trends, best practices and emerging technology and risk
· Support PR, stores, events and collaborations through social promotion
Qualifications
· 3+ years working in a social media/community management role for a major brand or agency
· Deep understanding of social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, Pinterest, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok, etc.
· A strong understanding of the capabilities of social media and its ability to connect with a wide range of audiences.
· A Basic understanding of SEO as it pertains to social media.
· Analytical approach to social channels understanding the importance of balancing brand-building with conversion and customer insights
· Platform experience with Hootsuite, Google Analytics, AWIN, or similar platforms/tools
· Team player and collaborator who maintains composure in high pressure and fast-paced situations
· A witty and empathetic approach to building brand loyalty, busting objections, resolving issues and a general understanding of consumer psychology.
· An inherent knowledge of content that resonates across the social landscape
· High attention to detail with proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines efficiently
· Very strong communication skills
· Experience using Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
