Job purpose
Responsible for supporting the organization’s strategic goals through a variety of digital marketing efforts. The candidate will primarily drive social media strategy, while also supporting other digital marketing efforts such as email, display and search advertising, PR, and more.
Duties and responsibilities / essential function
- Create and curate engaging content for social media platforms.
- Assist in the development and execution of a powerful, results-driven social media strategy for the society ensuring it aligns with the brand.
- Establish and maintain a content calendar across all social media platforms
- Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments (requires weekend and off-hour monitoring)
- Engage with fans and followers to build relationships within the welding community and encourage engagement.
- Provide best-in-industry customer service across all social platforms.
- Fully manage and continuously monitor paid social media campaigns to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor industry trends to keep up to date with advances in social media technology and digital marketing to ensure we maximize ROI.
- Analyze analytics and create reports on key metrics
- Assist in the development and management of social media marketing and influencer marketing strategy.
- Work closely with Digital Marketing Manager to create and distribute email communications.
- Assist in the development of display and search advertising to ensure alignment with other digital marketing efforts.
- Coordinate and oversee the distribution of press releases
- Develop and maintain a media calendar
- Propose and help implement digital marketing campaigns and promotions
Qualifications/competencies
• BS degree in Marketing, Digital Media or relevant field
• Demonstratable experience with major social media platforms and social media management tools.
• Proficiency with video and photo editing tools, digital media formats, and HTML
• Google AdWords and Analytics Certifications are a plus
• Solid knowledge of digital marketing, search engine optimization and how social media impacts both.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and perform under tight deadlines
• Articulate and professional communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Highly organized, motivated self-starter and energetic team player.
