About The Job
Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.
As part of the Platforms and Ecosystems (P&E) Brand team, we are searching for the best way for our brands to resonate in culture, engaging with audiences beyond traditional media. We also encourage audiences to interpret our brands, empowering them to speak about us in authentic, resonant ways that are impactful to business.
As the Brand Engagement Group Lead, you will oversee Engagement Managers, Social Coordinators, and Producers for our editorial, content partnership, and influencer efforts in close collaboration with the P&E marketing teams and setting vision for culture-led brand efforts. You will report to the Global Lead, manage long-term plans and support your team and external partners in the translation of business priorities and brand platforms to global and US-specific engagement strategies. You will partner to extend campaigns to content and social strategies and help define guidelines to build locally relevant and globally consistent strategies. You will manage partnerships with social and influencer agencies, and manage team growth and success.
Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems--from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can--changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.
Responsibilities
- Shape and develop the vision and engagement strategy of our portfolio in a short/medium/long term perspective. Partner with Brand Marketing and Product Marketing to drive this agenda.
- Help recruit and lead a team of Brand Engagement Manager, Social Media Coordinator and Producer.
- Drive the development, execution, and measurement of social and engagement campaigns for our Platforms and Ecosystems businesses, alongside Brand and Product marketers.
- Guide agency and other external creative partners to produce authentic, resonant, and impactful creative work.
- Be an inspiring thought leader and driver of change for the wider Platform and Ecosystem team.
