The Walt Disney Company’s Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) is a global business segment for The Walt Disney Company with the mission of providing highly personalized entertainment experiences to diverse consumers around the world access to the content they want most, on the latest platforms, at a time of rapidly evolving consumer habits deliver.

Disney Streaming encompasses the team’s leading the Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and Star+ streaming services within Disney’s Media & Entertainment Distribution group. We sit at the intersection between entertainment, sports, and technology and seek to connect viewers with the stories they love, while driving the streaming industry forward with consumer-first innovation.

The DMED Social & Digital Marketing Team oversees strategy and programming for the core brands Disney+, Disney, Pixar, and Star Wars as well as the franchises within them. With over 500+ pages the Operations Team supports core social and digital functions domestically and internationally as well as manages the YouTube CMS for the wider company.

The Social Media Operations Coordinator will support the wider Central and Disney+ Social & Digital Marketing Teams and work closely with the influencer Marketing team, Finance, as well as domestic and international internal stakeholders to support day-to-day operational request – social account acquisition, setups, brand safety checks, and granting permissions for internal employees and approved vendors.

The Operations Coordinator is collaborative, result driven and detail-oriented, with a strong understanding of all social, digital, and emerging platforms. They should be able to shepherd multiple projects at a time within a fast-face environment while promoting best practices across all workflows. The ideal candidate is a strong team player, can adapt to processes and identify key opportunities, meet deadlines, and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with permission requests, audit-mandated tasks, and unplanned spot audits for both domestic and international social handles
  • Secure social accounts across all platforms for the larger network and collaborate with platform partners to troubleshoot issues that may require additional escalation
  • Perform quarterly updates and resets of all account logins according to brand safety and cybersecurity best practices
  • Route incoming first-party business unit support requests for approvals (as needed)
  • Work closely with talent strategists both domestically and globally to ensure talent invoice submissions fall within standard guidelines
  • Oversee creator payee management, including on-boarding new payees and investigating payment delays and issues
  • Manage pipeline of requests with Royalties Processing Team and communicate necessary resources and timelines to stakeholders
  • Manage timelines for internal tool and systems development, as necessary, to onboard and provide continued support of platform partners. Includes but not limited to new features, feature enhancements to existing systems tools and processes as well as launches of new systems, tools, and processes
  • Work closely with Finance and Accounting to manage and track Tools/Marketing expenses across the Central Marketing Team
  • Support the larger Operations Team
  • Set up and maintain all talent and/or entities with a vendor account in SAP
  • Manage all distribution of domestic talent agreements and signatory stakeholders
  • Social account acquisitions, setups, permissions, and access for internal employees and approved vendors
  • Track the marketing and tools budget

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in social/digital marketing
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (excel, word), Google Doc, Box
  • Previous experience with CRM tools – Salesforce, Air Table, Zendesk preferred
  • Solid understanding of social media platforms required such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tik Tok
  • Basic understanding of YouTube CMS system preferred
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills coupled with the ability to communicate and implement operational processes
  • Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing workplace
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects over a long period of time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Sprinklr, Creator IQ, Keynote, Curalate a plus
  • Experience within brand entertainment marketing and/or streaming services
  • Experience working with large, matrix organizations
  • Knowledge of marketing lifecycles and influencer partnerships a plus
