Who You Are

We are looking for a passionate influencer marketing specialist to join our rapidly expanding US B2C marketing team, which is a high-performing, consumer-obsessed group responsible for making Klarna a world-famous brand that is known, respected, and loved by consumers and retailers. We collaborate closely with all marketing teams throughout the organization to build brand campaigns, programs and activations. The person who will be successful in this role should have a love for influencers on a personal level and a clear grasp of pop culture and trends. Additionally, a successful influencer specialist at Klarna should have strong experience crafting influencer strategies while also being hands-on with execution.

What You Will Do

This role will be responsible for all influencer programs in the US market — from campaign strategy and talent selection to creative review and post-campaign analysis — with micro, mid-tier, macro, and celebrity talent. Success in this position will be to set the standard for best-in-class influencer marketing. And while this role will be US-focused, it will also help guide our global counterparts’ approach to influencers.

Responsibilities

  • The overarching role is to craft influencer strategies for the US, own and drive the execution of each strategy as well as oversee the day-to-day management of our agency
  • Work directly with the US head of social and influencer to craft strategies and execute
  • Prospect, execute, and manage influencer partnerships
  • Ensure feasibility of execution by vetting proper approvals through appropriate internal teams
  • Manage workflow for campaigns including events and cross-team projects (i.e Co-Marketing, PR, etc)
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on past executions, the current state of influencer marketing, upcoming trends, etc. – owning updates with internal teams
  • Analyze content opportunities and recommend strategies, interactions, or approaches
  • Create and maintain strong client relationships with influencer talent and partners
  • Establish and evolve best practices across influencer campaigns

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience at a startup or agency with a focus in Influencer/PR. Experience in tech or lifestyle is a plus
  • Strong collaborator with experience working cross-functionally and with stakeholders
  • A passion for social media and Internet culture, and a deep understanding of the influencer landscape
  • Positive, go-getter attitude; passion for storytelling and helping build a growing brand
  • Ability to work autonomously and complete multiple projects within time constraints and with strong attention to detail
  • Strong communicator
  • Proactive by nature and comes up with new thinking that adds value
  • Enjoy a high pace environment and can quickly adapt to change
  • Have the ability to prioritize your work effectively, while taking personal ownership of hands-on delivery
  • Comfortable in Excel and Google Sheets
