Social Media and PR Coordinator- Short Term Contract
Basic Function
The Social Media & PR Coordinator is responsible for aiding the brand marketing team with its branding and communications efforts via social media and PR channels.
*Please note this is a short term 90 day contract and you must be located in NY.*
Community management
-Engage with brands and influencers on Baggallini’s social channels daily, with a target goal of 300 engagements
-Answer and engage with every single comment that comes through on the Baggallini social channel posts, using the appropriate brand voice and tone
-Follow/unfollow brands and influencers on social channels as instructed
-Check DM and inbox inquiries and questions and make sure to forward information to appropriate departments
-Regular and consistent monitoring of all branded social channels to ensure a unified brand presence in accordance with each brands’ brand book, guidelines and target audience(s). Work with brand teams to develop branded scripts of best-in-class responses to consumer comments and question.
-Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments in a timely fashion. Social communication should not be limited to consumer interactions within our channels or those using our hashtags, but also proactively reaching out to lookalikes of our consumer who could benefit from our brands’ products.
-Assist in monitoring social media channels for industry trends and influencers and proactively recommend new tests and social media channel mix of where each brand’s consumer(s) is actively engaging.
Customer service
-Track, monitor and report all customer service inquiries that come through the platform to customer service team
-Report any issues to appropriate department/contact and make sure to follow through on each issue until confirmed it’s resolved
-Quick to escalate any issues or potentially negative brand conversations to brand, merchandising teams, customer service, quality lead, etc.
Influencer research and outreach
-Assist in researching, tracking and adding influencer information to marketing tracker databases, as instructed by brand marketing
-Keep databases up to date and organized
-Complete daily outreach to influencers to partner for brand awareness, content creation, new product seeding, and more
-Maintain master marketing tracker list that encompasses all influencer and media relationships, is easily sortable and accessible
-Assist in the execution of influencer marketing prospecting, ordering marketing styles to mail out to both influencers and to surprise and delight consumers (as budget allows), and shipping.
-Fill out order sheets as requested from brand
-Assist in maintaining inventory of all shipments and manage/execute all product shipments as directed
Co-Brand research and outreach
-Works directly with brand leads to support development and execution of weekly/regular brand or co-branded giveaways and other means of delivering compelling, engaging branded content to key audiences. Work to identify and get product donations for co-branded sweepstakes; adding each contact to master co-branded giveaway partner list.
-Assist in researching, tracking and adding brand partner information to marketing tracker databases, as instructed by brand marketing
-Update databases daily and make sure they are always up to date and organized
Affiliate Baggallini Ambassador program
-Executional lead on brand ambassador programs, reaching out to a set number of prospects per brand monthly, and adding these ambassadors to the master affiliate list.
Other:
-Assist in the development of press kit materials, fact sheets, decks, and other resources as needed.
-Assist in completing any ad hoc requests as needed
Skills required
-Passion for building brands through social media and proficiency with major social media platforms, social media management tools and has excellent social media listening skills
-Ability to quickly identify problems, recommend solutions and work cross-functionally
-Ability to understand historical, current, and future trends in the digital content and social media space
-Strong data analysis skills. Ability to turn raw data into key insights and actionable recommendations
-Strong copywriting and copy-editing skills
-Top-notch verbal and written communication skills
-Impeccable time management skills with the ability to multitask
-Detail-oriented, is able to quickly respond back to consumers, escalate any issues as needed to cross-functional partners and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
-Positive attitude, can-do spirit, self-motivated, strong sense of curiosity and willingness to learn
Qualifications
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Previous experience and related internships helpful but not required
- Direct experience using social media management tools
- Experience assisting to execute PR, influencer programs, or loyalty programs a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point)
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop) or equivalent digital media editing tools a plus
