Job Description

The NFL Media Marketing Group is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to lead the overall marketing strategy and execution for the NFL app that focus on acquisition and re-engagement. This product, brand, and performance marketing role includes building the strategies to effectively market the NFL app, collaborating directly with our product team and NFL partners. We are looking to maximize engagement in-season by promoting the availability of live NFL games through the app.

This role will maximize the value of paid, owned, and earned media, and will work cross-departmentally with most internal teams, including but not limited to Product, Creative, Analytics, Business Development, Sponsorship, Network, and PR teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation of marketing plans for the NFL app; evaluation of marketing channels/partners, acquisition, and retention initiatives to drive installs, and live game engagement.
  • Establish a clear roadmap that will drive the teams day-to-day and long-term business and product vision to realize real business results.
  • Work closely with Social/Influencer and Marketing strategy and science teams to ensure the holistic integration of the NFL App campaign
  • Manage timeline of deliverables across multiple stakeholders.
  • Generate top of funnel ideas to drive awareness and excitement across mobile and CTV platforms.
  • Work with creative and media agencies to concept, plan, and execute on campaigns.
  • Introduce and test optimization approaches across paid media, as well as owned and partner media.
  • Work closely with the product and analytics teams on continuous reporting initiatives to better inform executive decisions, budgetary shift recommendations, and priorities throughout the season.
  • Communicate with Business Development team and NFL partners to propel marketing initiatives forward with proper stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal CRM, creative, product and engineering teams.
  • Leverage industry experience and professional network to generate ideas for new acquisition channels or technology opportunities.
  • Work with creative team to oversee the development of creative and promotional assets.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Entrepreneurial, smart, and passionate leader with 5+ years of experience working in product marketing; experience with mobile app marketing preferred.
  • Knowledge of advertising and media practices, advertising measurement and retargeting, and industry guidelines.
  • Deep understanding of and experience in product and digital marketing
  • Data driven, detail-oriented, hands-on individual who has experience executing direct-response campaigns.
  • Self-starter who can work effectively in matrixed organization
  • Excellent communicator and strategic thinker who can effectively make the case for taking calculated risks.
  • Strong quantitative and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in spreadsheet analysis (e.g., Excel), presentation creation (e.g., PowerPoint), familiarity with analytics and marketing tools (e.g. Adobe Analytics, Google Ad Products, etc.) as well as knowledge in mobile measurement tracking tools (Kochava, Appsflyer, Tune, etc.).
  • Understanding of quantitative marketing concepts including CPI/CPA, LTV, ARPU, churn, conversion rates.
  • Strong understanding of performance marketing, lead generation and app trends.
  • Ability to maneuver through multiple deliverables based on league priorities and direction.
  • A sports fan in general, and more specifically an NFL fan.
  • BA/BS from top undergraduate university.

Terms /Expected Hours of Work

  • NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week.
  • FLSA exempt.
