Product Manager Overview
We are looking for a product manager to focus on our Discovery product. You can learn more about us and watch our latest streaming event .
As a Product Manager, you will monitor the behaviors and expectations of our users and partner with Marketing to identify high-value user segments. You will help define and prioritize customer needs, distill those needs into actionable work, get buy-in for your initiatives, set KPIs and goals and track progress toward them, and be responsible for delivering the best possible user experience to our customers. You will have direct access to end-users and stakeholders, and you are encouraged to build and leverage these relationships in your work.

Essential Functions
- Have a deep understanding of our users, their needs and experiences across our products to use data, market knowledge and industry best practices to define our strategy for both adoption and retention.
- Partner with cross functional teams to implement innovative solutions to iteratively improve the user experience and achieve identified strategic KPIs
- Define product KPIs and data-driven strategies for tracking product success or failure with input from stakeholders
- Analyze the impact of strategic growth initiatives, define and report on KPIs and present recommendations to executive stakeholders
- Communicate directly with customers and/or internal users to understand different user profiles, use cases, and product(s) requirements, and how these requirements can and be integrated with the overall IZEAx ecosystem and workflows
- Define and execute an iterative implementation strategy with a minimally viable set of requirements and planned downstream features, with input from stakeholders, Customer Success, Design, Engineering, and QA
- Manage and facilitate your team’s progress by clearing blockers, answering questions, making decisions, and maintaining status tracking efforts to ensure that work is progressing continually and on track with estimated delivery goals
- Maintain open feedback loops with users, stakeholders, and C-level executives to communicate and demo progress, catch issues early, and ensure that efforts are advancing in line with expectations
- Advocate for and champion your team by encouraging their shared ownership and understanding of the product(s) and their workflows, listening and considering bottom-up input, and sharing and celebrating successes
- Continually identifying and proposing novel solutions to user friction points and opportunities for new features that delight and bring value to users
- Define and communicate product timelines and launch plans necessary to bring your product or feature(s) to market.
- Triage and prioritize initiatives with stakeholders, Customer Success, Design, Engineering, and QA such that user requirements, business impact, and implementation efforts are balanced and optimized. You’re responsible for maintaining your product roadmap and communicating frequent status updates to stakeholders.
Experience, Qualifications & Requirements
- 2+ years of product management experience
- Prior marketplace experience
- A passion for our industry and the problems we’re solving
- Self-motivated and the ability to thrive is a fast moving environment
- A team player who shares knowledge and information with others and loves to collaborate
- Previous experience leading cross-functional software teams as your team will consist of software engineers, product designers, and QA
- Technical experience enabling you to effectively engage in conversations with our Engineering team in order to understand effort, tradeoffs and architecture
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to executive audiences
- Ability to multitask, balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- A solid understanding of agile methodologies, scrum framework and previous work on agile teams
The Following Qualifications Will Be Highly Valued
- Experience with Google Analytics, Mouseflow or other analytics tools
- Familiarity with Google Data Studio, SQL
- Prior experience in a role leading existing products or strategies from conception to implementation
- A genuine excitement for storyboarding and decomposing effort
