We are seeking an experienced marketing leader within our Fitness and Wellness (F&W) segment to lead our digital marketing team that supports multiple brands including the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), ClubConnect, and the Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), which provide science-based continuing education options for fitness professionals. The digital marketing leader is responsible for building actionable, digital strategies for new and existing products, inclusive of optimizing tactics to expand our reach beyond fitness professionals and introduce our content to allied health professionals, prosumers, and consumers. This leader will work closely with the Senior Director Strategic Marketing and internal product and sales leaders to best promote our products and content to maximize potential revenue opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive all aspects of digital marketing including development and execution of digital acquisition/demand generation campaigns. Optimize and expand demand generation programs to support our sales teams.
  • Work closely with product marketing, product management and sales to drive the success of new product launches
  • Develop and manage marketing plans and budgets for the digital marketing team
  • Drive a data-driven approach, focusing on key metrics to assess and optimize our demand generation effectiveness and digital marketing ROI.
  • Create and manage a reporting dashboard with trackable key performance indicators on the various marketing tactics. This report will be shared with internal teams to stay updated on the tactical performance (e.g. ROAS) against goals for lead generation, email campaigns, paid media campaigns and any other digital marketing strategies.
  • Run the digital team as a hands-on leader. Manage team capacity and allocations to support the achievement of business goals.
  • Lead, inspire and cultivate the development digital marketing team.
  • Evaluate and select vendors to support marketing initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • 5-10 years digital marketing leadership roles with progressive responsibility
  • Working knowledge of the fitness industry preferred
  • Experience managing multi-channel demand generation / lead generation campaigns and initiatives, product marketing, sales enablement, inbound content marketing, and other key business growth drivers
  • Proven experience in content marketing, SEO, and social/influencer marketing
  • Proven experience in data-driven, analytical approach to marketing optimization
  • Experience managing outside consultants, agencies, and service providers
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus
