GSI is looking for an experienced and innovative Brand Manager. This brand marketer will be responsible for helping to lead, define and execute all elements of the Goddard School brand plans and strategies. This person will develop and collaborate cross-functionally on all multi-channel brand programs and overall content strategy to ensure our brand leadership drives the company forward.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with Brand Director on creating Strategic Brand Plans, Annual Marketing Plans and Campaign Development; manage plan execution to ensure efficient and effective use of the Marketing budget.
  • Leverage Brand positioning and Marketing insights to develop and curate yearly and quarterly content strategy calendar that focus on the entire family journey from introduction to referral.
  • Spearhead initiatives such as Marketing seasonal campaigns, multi-channel content management, and cross-functional campaign teams.
  • Develop and drive Marketing programs reflective of brand strategy and Goddard family target passion points.
  • Be the expert on Goddard Family’s insights into what drives their decision-making process in selecting a young childhood education and care services.
  • Build rapport with cross-functional teams both inside and outside of Marketing to ensure best practices, insights and brand-impacting activities are shared.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance results, develop & recommend appropriate action plans designed to improve return on investment.
  • Develop creative and project briefs and manage content development for all verticals of media including but not limited to digital, in-school and social media.
  • Meet with franchisee facing team members regularly to get a pulse on our families and franchisees in the current environment.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure knowledge of pilot programs and how to build Marketing materials and go-to market strategies for programs.
  • Work closely with PR and Communications to ensure marketing message are amplified in earned media channels.
  • Partner with Enrollment and Engagement Marketing to ensure proper understanding of campaign performance and go to market strategies.
  • Partner with Social team by providing relevant content, supporting the Ambassador/Community program with a 360-marketing strategy.
  • Partner with Insights to report outperformance on all content and campaign strategies.
  • Ensure proper budget tracking and support for the team.
  • Be the lead partner in ensuring all programs and strategies are review by the property team members (Legal, School Support Services, etc).

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will bring a minimum 5+ years’ experience in brand management / integrated marketing with proven results and the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Leadership experience with managing direct reports, internal/external creative agencies and/or leading cross functional complex teams.
  • Campaign experience from inception to post-launch analysis across multiple Marketing channels. Ability to translate key customer insights and best practices into compelling, actionable brand campaigns.
  • Knowledge of digital strategy, social media, and content creation.
  • Ability to build and give impactful presentations/communications and comfort level in presenting them to senior management.
  • Strong understanding of current trends in social media, influencer marketing, partnerships, or public relations.
  • Familiarity with Brand Customer Journey Marketing.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to influence, lead and communicate cross-functionally in order to execute on content strategies and execution.
  • Aptitude for balancing creative thinking with analytical and strategic planning. Results-driven mindset to assess the success of marketing efforts.
  • Strong understanding and interest in brand media and cultural landscape, with the ability and desire to seek out new ideas and approaches.
  • Proven ability to analyze campaign results and develop strategies and programs that have driven business results.
  • Formal Brand Management training and experience (CPG/FMCG background a plus).
  • Experience with franchisees communications and marketing a plus.
  • Familiarity and passion for education a plus.
