Job Summary
This role will be based out of the Los Angeles area with oversight of programs across the US. This job contributes to NVA’s success by leading and growing NVA pet resorts’ local marketing impact efforts. The position oversees regional traditional media, partnerships, experiential, philanthropy and advocacy as well as other local marketing efforts for all New Resorts (< 1 year). The Field Marketing Associate will be responsible for developing local community marketing plans, budgets and tracking KPIs to measure success. Local community marketing impact will result in new customer acquisition, existing customer retention, and increased overall customer lifetime value, all while connecting national initiatives at a regional and market level. The Field Marketing Associate will work closely with the New Resorts Marketing Manager, Creative & Support Center teams, and most importantly, Field Operations, to create compelling local community marketing partnerships and opportunities that are relevant to local pet parents.
Responsibilities
- Research, identify and create marketing & growth initiatives through local community marketing partnerships, events and activations.
- Partner with General Managers and Analytics team to review local sales, customer acquisition, and growth stats to determine local community marketing strategies to drive growth for each location and neighborhood over time. Track spend and ensure projects stay on budget.
- Work seamlessly across the organization and key stakeholders to support key marketing initiatives. Be an effective collaborator and communicator to move projects along as quickly as possible. Be fun to work with on a daily basis!
- Research and provide direction on local community marketing opportunities for the resorts.
- Acts as lead on strategic direction and planning with Field Leadership teams in support of key local/community relationships.
- Provide direction on budgeting and campaign planning within the resorts.
- Provide direction on managing the operational requirements of community partnerships and programs.
- Provide input and direction on terms of relationships and ensure compliance with contracts, sponsorships, and agreements, etc.
- Develop and implement marketing initiatives and corporate programs.
- Meet goals as defined by individual market plans (e.g. store traffic, social media engagement metrics)
- Establishes measurements and key performance indicators to monitor performance.
Skills/Qualifications
- traditional/event, and/or community marketing.
- Experience in event marketing, PR, and/or influencer marketing a plus but not required
- Passion for growing brands through innovative partnerships and events.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple vendors and work cross-functionally across several internal teams & stakeholders.
- Energetic self-starter who can power through ambiguity, is able to think creatively, and focus on problem-solving and results.
- BA degree in marketing, PR, business management, or equivalent a plus.
- Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills. Proven ability to communicate effectively in team environments, to build and foster effective working relationships within Pet Resorts, with multiple business partners, and the community.
- Experience managing budgets. Proven successful experience in creating marketing plans, budgeting, execution, and evaluation.
Years of Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience
Degree Preferred: Bachelors
Location: Westlake Village, CA (remote until HQ re-opens)
