At Laughlin Constable, strategists act as the catalyst for great ideas and possess the ability to make complex digital projects simple to understand for agency and client teams. We are looking for a social-minded strategist to coordinate, plan and execute social-focused campaigns and projects. Candidates should possess a working understanding of the digital ecosystem and how social media plays a unique role in a client’s communication mix. We’re looking for a proactive team player and someone who can easily collaborate across agency teams to identify key client needs and assess how LC can solve them.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in crafting client-facing digital strategies that outlines target audience considerations, digital and cultural trends, learnings from past performance and compelling experiences and content that inspires compelling creative and brand messages.
  • Facilitate social conversation and responding to questions, comments, and concerns across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other channels as needed
  • Partner with creative counterparts to ensure content is designed to perform and resonate with our target audiences, particularly on social media
  • Familiarity with influencer marketing or working with influencers a plus.
  • Assist in the creation of monthly and quarterly reports from campaign performance. Work with strategy and analytics to provide learnings and recommendations based on current digital and industry trends.
  • Serves as the point of integration across agency teams: creative, analytics, technology, experience design (UX and Content) and media.
  • Acts as a self-starter who can eventually champion projects from start to finish with minimal oversight.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Relevant areas of study - Marketing, Advertising, Business, Journalism, Statistics
  • 1-2 years experience in digital-related marketing functions (internships may be considered as experience)
  • A solid grasp of the role that social and digital media play in a client’s communication mix and the ability to educate others about it effectively
  • Proficiency in social media platforms, predominantly Facebook and Instagram.
  • Evangelize social best practices to cross-functional teams and stakeholders, internally and externally
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and perspective around social trends, ideas, and strategy.
  • A desire to work on a range of clients
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while remaining positive and professional under pressure
  • Possess a passion for understanding human and consumer behavior, digging for insights and an eagerness to learn
  • Is exacting and reliable. Someone who holds themselves to a high standard of performance and is able to work somewhat autonomously.
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills; can effectively develop and present strategic and tactical plans to both clients and internal teams
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Office, PowerPoint) or Mac OSX equivalent (Outlook, Pages, Keynote)
  • LC believes in a fluid and flexible working schedule. Although working remotely will be available on a weekly basis, candidates must be able to travel to the Chicago or Milwaukee office occasionally. The job may also require out of state travel to client meetings, research, conferences, etc. from time to time.
