Summary:

The New York Mets are in search of a part-time TikTok Specialist that will focus on creating premium shareable short form video content specific to TikTok, Instagram Reels and Triller. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of TikTok video content and genuinely understands the platform while being fluid with camera/cell phone equipment, and has the ability to strategize, produce, create proper lighting, shoot & edit social content.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Help concept, create, and execute short form video designed for TikTok and Instagram Reels
  • Draft content briefs for influencer and content creator
  • Work closely with Social Media Video Editor to plan editing of videos
  • Identifying emerging trends on TikTok, suggest best way for the Mets brand to capitalize on these
  • Support Mets Social Media Department with scouting influencers and content creators for possible collaboration
  • Oversee all edits of videos to ensure all videos are up to standards and match a consistent look
  • Conduct ongoing industry research and content analysis to stay informed and on top of trends and changes in the social content landscape
  • Manage content schedule

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of TikTok and experience in TikTok content creation
  • Ability to create engaging content that align with Mets brand
  • Must have a strong understanding of the social media space and trends
  • Proficient in video editing, including the Adobe Suite
  • Must be a team player and work well with others
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail and very organized
  • Knowledge of lighting, filming and video editing
  • Proficient knowledge of the full video production processes and its best practices
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must be a able to identify and solve problems
  • Willingness to take direction, but also work independently
  • Works well in a team environment, understanding organizational dynamics and the importance of communication priorities
