The Director of Brand and PR will be responsible for growing the JoVE’s brand as a premier provider of science video solutions to universities and biopharma companies. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for international brand building. This role reports to the CEO.
Responsibilities:
- Strengthen the JoVE’s brand as a must-have solution for universities, colleges and biopharma companies
- Develop and implement brand strategies for JoVE target audiences including researchers, educators, students and decision-makers in academia and biopharma
- Expand JoVE brand recognition at academic institutions in North America, Europe, Asia, South America and Middle East
- Partner with PR agencies in key markets to advance the JoVE brand across all communication channels including social, industry events, press, influencers and advertising
- Collaborate with other departments including Sales, Marketing, Customer Success and Product Development to advance JoVE’s brand in the target market
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in brand building and PR
- Proven track record in building and growing brands
- Ability to convert ideas into operational plans, build teams, execute and develop metrics to measure results
- Strong experience in branding concepts, communications, social media, advertisement, influencer marketing, and measurement tools
- Self-starter, result-oriented, and ability to work independently
- Excellent communications skills
- Ability to challenge the status quo, communicate ideas
