Summary of Position:

Marketing Manager is responsible for taking the lead on all existing local marketing within the PRG portfolio. This includes a combination of restaurants and cocktail lounges in Florida, Tennessee and Illinois. Will be responsible for writing out quarterly local marketing plans to submit for approval to the Director – along with managing the local marketing budget.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with local management teams and Marketing Director to assess the current state of marketing for each of the brands and their objectives, review the current marketing plan, make adjustments as needed and immediately begin to take over the execution of the plan for each of the assigned properties.
  • Act as the lead on all communication and project management of each marketing initiative from inception to completion for local marketing
  • Manage all of the timelines to ensure that all deadlines are being met and executed on the store level.
  • Create new opportunities in each of the marketplaces to stand out, including culinary opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations.
  • Identify citywide events that would be good for the properties to participate either onsite or offsite, and conduct outreach and marketing against those events.
  • Handle all of the programming for those cities during major holidays or high traffic time in each city.
  • Come up with new and interesting ways to gain business when the traffic may not be there during slower times.
  • Oversee marketing event initiatives and be onsite to execute them as needed.
  • Work hand in hand with the Design & Digital Marketing Manager to ensure that all initiatives and property needs are being deployed via email marketing and content development within the digital space.
  • Work hand in hand with the Marketing Coordinator (Content) to ensure that all local marketing initiatives are represented via brand + local social media. Ensure photography and video is being gathered in advance of each initiative to help with all marketing and story-telling.
  • Ongoing outreach to the marketplaces – directing the process to the local team.
  • Responsible for the oversight on all PR messaging, external communications and influencer marketing for local marketing
  • Will work with the Director of Marketing to oversee the PR agency to manage them and ensure that they are reaching our goals.
  • Come up with interesting and new approaches to storytelling within each market place and identify new and unique opportunities to get more visibility
  • Ensure that all initiatives are effectively communicated to external PR agency to support media relations and guide that process.
  • Ensure that all initiatives are effectively communicated with all management at the store and to the finance and brand teams across the board.
  • Establish, maintain and manage a network of influencers for each of the properties, bringing in appropriate micro, national and international bloggers that can help us drive awareness and visibility to our brands.
  • Responsible for the monthly reporting, will be point of contact for all assigned properties to ensure that their reports are in order and will present them to the Director to finalize.
  • Will work alongside the digital team and the marketing coordinator to complete each report for approval to the Director.
  • Review / forecast monthly local restaurant marketing budget for approval to Director. Manage any invoicing associated with projects.

Requirements:

At least 5 years of experience in a restaurant brand, hotel brand or hospitality agency. Prior leadership and management of associates is preferred. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
