160over90 is seeking a Vice President of Media Relations to bring top brands closer to the culture through winning strategies, effective storytelling and executing our client’s work through media relations results.

Responsibilities
- Develop and lead media relations strategies and work with other 160over90 groups as appropriate to pull earned media success into integrated campaigns
- Work with PR Senior Leadership Team to ensure the highest quality media relations practices are built into our work
- Nurtur e relationships at the highest level of media
- Provid e insightful communications counsel to clients with an emphasis on consumer brands that aim to gain relevance by getting closer to culture
- Elevate clients’ top executives into thought leaders by advising clients and account leaders on opportunities to place executives onto speaking panels, op-eds, feature stories and other executive visibility
- Contribute to business development success by speaking with authority on media relations trends and insights on occasional c lient prospect calls
- Remain engaged and attuned to media opport unities across a variety of verticals , including educating clients on current trends
- Play a leadership role i n a Media Relations Specialty Group , inclusive of an amazing team of elite of elite directors, managers, account executive and coordinators; feed into an engaging environment of dynamic personal growth and learning
Requirements
- Great understanding of public relations and brand marketing
- 12 + years' experience in consumer PR within division, agency or flagship account
- Bachelor’s degree (communications, public relations, marketing or related degree preferred)
- Media r elations leadership experience for global lifestyle br ands (agency or in-house)
- Has led earned media efforts around cultural-led initiatives for big activations ( sports sponsors hips , music festiv als, product launch events, red carpet events)
- Sports experience preferred; working with the major talent, properties and leagues
- A bility to manage multiple projects when called upon , in addition to advising/executing across the entire client portfolio
- Passion for developing junior talent and mentorship
- Comfortable leading cross-office business across verticals and geography
