Business Development Manager/Lead (East Coast)

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team. The perfect person for this position will have a passion for technology and media, as well as the desire to lead in a fast-changing industry. In addition to focusing on outbounding to our largest target accounts, you will be responsible for supporting and growing our business development function.

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Representative who is looking to pursue a management opportunity. If you are a self-motivated individual who has a natural ability to motivate others, have exemplary communication skills, and are able to manage multiple tasks effectively then you’ll love this role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of Tribe Dynamics platform features, industry, pricing plans, and service portfolio
  • Mentor and manage a high-performing team of Business Development Representatives
  • Generate and identify new sales opportunities using multiple inbound + outbound channels and strategies
  • Manage a outbound project focussing on our top 50 target accounts
  • Conduct a consistently high volume of discovery meetings with fully qualified prospects
  • Deliver against monthly targets and pipeline commitments, track all your activity in our CRM and related tools
  • Continually develop your influencer marketing industry knowledge and demonstrate commercial understanding

About You

  • 2+ years of proven success in a business development role—meeting and exceeding sales quota in a team-based environment
  • Experience selling digital technology and service solutions (bonus points for Influencer Marketing, MarTech, or AdTech SaaS vendors!)
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with internal marketing, inside sales, sales engineering, channel managers, and client/professional service teams
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and able to motivate others
  • Exemplary communication prioritization and organizational skills
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, working in a culture of critique and iteration with all team members
  • A background in any of our target verticals is desirable (beauty, fashion, health & fitness, food & drink)

About Us

  • Ben Staveley (he/him) first joined Tribe Dynamics in the winter of 2019 as a Business Consultant, and later joined the team full time as the Vice President of Sales & Marketing. He has had previous experience across marketing, ecommerce, and sales prior to Tribe. He is the hiring manager for this position.
  • Nicole Fox (she/her) joined Tribe Dynamics over four years ago after transitioning from LinkedIn. Currently based in Austin via SF and Hawaii, Nicole's resume also includes former TV host and professional Polynesian dancer.
  • Kim Huynh (she/her) joined Tribe Dynamics’ content marketing team as a writer nearly five years ago, before switching to the sales team as the company’s first business development representative in 2019. She is passionate about helping brands grow and succeed in the space, and excited to expand the team.
  • Addie Crosby (she/her) joined Tribe Dynamics as our first-ever fully remote hire and second business development representative in November 2020. Hailing from Florida, she is currently based in New York City and has a background in public relations.
