Tribe Dynamics is looking for an ambitious Business Development Representative to join our sales team. Our BDRs are often the first point of contact for prospective clients, so you’ll be responsible for representing Tribe Dynamics and making a positive impression that sets the tone for the entire sales lifecycle. You will be empowered to prospect, qualify, set meetings, and develop strategic accounts for our Sales Teams with leading lifestyle brands. The perfect person for this position will have an interest in brands, technology, and media, strong initiative and ability to keep pace in a fast-changing industry, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a passion for structure, process, and detail.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our (ever-evolving) software capabilities, the influencer marketing landscape, our prospective clients’ industries, and the connection between the three.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales to generate a high-volume of inbound leads while leveraging Tribe’s data to proactively seek new client opportunities through outbound outreach.
  • Manage and uncover opportunities from outbound leads
  • Spark and maintain interest from prospects through consistent email outreach and follow-up, and by sharing relevant collateral, insights, and updates to our software.
  • Persuasively educate, engage, qualify, and inform prospects about our software and services during calls and route appropriate opportunities to account executives.
  • Consistently maintain, manage, and update the integrity of prospect and client data within our CRM and sales reporting systems.

About You

  • Excellent verbal communication skills: you are a concise, clear, confident, and engaging speaker, highly emotionally intelligent, and a fantastic active listener.
  • Excellent written communication skills: your emails are clear, engaging, and concise; you can distill and present dense information in an easily digestible way.
  • Excellent organization skills: you have a passion for structure and process, an eagle eye for detail, and can efficiently prioritize a large number of competing tasks and requests.
  • Experience and knowledge of influencer marketing, Hubspot, and the beauty, fashion, or fitness industries a plus.

About Us

  • Ben Staveley (he/him) first joined Tribe Dynamics in the winter of 2019 as a Business Consultant, and later joined the team full time as the Vice President of Growth. He has had previous experience across marketing, ecommerce, and sales prior to Tribe. He is the hiring manager for this position.
  • Kim Huynh (she/her) joined Tribe Dynamics’ content marketing team as a writer nearly five years ago, before switching to the sales team as the company’s first business development representative in 2019. She is passionate about helping brands grow and succeed in the space, and excited to expand the team.
  • Addie Crosby (she/her) joined Tribe Dynamics as one of our first fully remote hires and second business development representative in November 2020. Hailing from Florida, she is currently based in New York City and has a background in public relations.
