Emerging Markets Marketing Director

The Emerging Markets Marketing Director is a self-motivated marketing expert who will create marketing strategies and plans that build brand awareness and customer acquisition as we grow sales and store count in new and emerging markets, with the goal of increasing our pace to profit in these markets.

The Emerging Markets Marketing Director will be the expert in each market, understanding regional business metrics, local competitors, and where to reach our target market, using that knowledge to create compelling brand engagement opportunities that are relevant to each local culture and aligned with Tiff’s Treats target demographic.

Emerging Markets Marketing Director will be creative, adaptable, and unafraid to create and pilot new tactics, provide solutions as needs come up, and create reporting to support all initiatives. The position is responsible for managing agencies and coordinating internal and external resources to support the execution of strategies.

The position will be expected to take on travel assignments as needed for new markets and to support other growing markets as demand and business priorities dictate. This job contributes to Tiff’s Treats success by leading new market entry and growth strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the regional subject matter expert on your markets including: business metrics, customer demographics, market knowledge (relevant events, strategic brand and charitable partners, competitors), as well as competitive knowledge and industry trends
  • Develop marketing partnerships, campaigns, programs and activities in alignment with Corporate Marketing campaigns and objectives that help to drive awareness, education, and customer acquisition
  • Partner with operations to coordinate all event logistics including supplies, labor, product, and additional needs
  • Work closely with the Field Marketing Director in day to day management of local sponsorships, partnerships, and experiential events; work with internal teams as well as external partners to execute events efficiently
  • Manage projects, programs, and vendor relationships, develop and executes against timelines, tracks performance, and ensures projects are within budget, meet brand standards, and align with goals and KPIs
  • Successful identification of event opportunities featuring the Tiff’s Treats Truck and overall marketing ownership of truck when in market
  • Create campaign planning and reporting tools to ensure clear communication and communicate results.
  • Develop influencer marketing strategies that drive new customer acquisition and social media followers
  • Manage and maximize charitable partnerships, including Cookies for Community digital fundraising events
  • Identify, test, adapt, and amplify best practices; share learnings across marketing teams
  • Regular travel to new markets for events and grand openings (20 - 25% travel required)
  • Reports to VP, Experiential Marketing with opportunity to build team as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field.
  • 10+ years’ experience in marketing and running a marketing team.
  • Proven success in direct-to-consumer marketing strategy development and execution.
  • Agency management experience.
  • Experience with digital marketing forms such as social media marketing and content marketing.
  • P+L responsibility with experience building and managing budgets.
  • High competence in project and stakeholder management.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Professional and proactive work ethic.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
