Position Summary... What you'll do...We’re looking for a Director of Content & Influencer Marketing who will be responsible for building business strategy, creator & influencer partnerships, and omni-channel activations—designed to connect inspiring storytelling to easy buying solutions while driving brand equity, engagement, and sales.You’ll work closely with our Content & Commerce, Social, and Partnerships teams, as well as leads across Marketing, Product, & Technology to develop and manage some of our most critical strategic partnerships, spearhead cross-functional deal implementation efforts, and evaluate potential collaborations.

  • You have a deep knowledge and expertise in the creator and influencer space, across relationship & talent management, platform trends, measurement, and affiliate ecosystems
  • You’re naturally in-the-know on the hottest up-and-coming creator and influencer personalities, trends, and communities
  • You love building from the ground up, and are a true self-starter in creating net-new, innovative programs, strategies, and content-rich storytelling moments
  • You’re experienced driving both brand and performance marketing objectives, with proven success
  • You’re invested in team development, lead by example, and are a collaborator at heart

Challenges you’ll tackle:

  • As part of a fast-growing team, you will lead and evolve business strategy for influencer marketing, inclusive of vision, iterative roadmap, channel strategy, & activation
  • Cultivate relationships with creators & influencers, brands, and strategic partners that connect authentic storytelling with curated buying solutions
  • Evolve and scale influencer & creator offerings & infrastructure broadly for Walmart
  • Find new ways to creatively integrate influencer content/activations into cross-channel, digital marketing, and experiential activities.
  • Act as an external and internal advocate, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive programs forward
  • Evaluate and test new features as partner & influencer offerings evolve, with an eye towards scalability

  • A minimum 12+ years of work experience in a related area (e.g. Partnership or Business Development, Marketing/Advertising/Digital, Media)
  • Established industry relationships and experience working with executive level business and marketing leaders within client organizations, particularly across media, retail, and/or ecommerce.
  • Effective communication skills – you’re equally comfortable hopping on the phone with a new potential partner, meeting them in person, or following up (with a “make things happen” attitude)
  • A builder mentality, ability to build programs from the ground up and self-start with little direction
