About You

Responsibilities

  • Understand and be an expert on clients’ business/product/service, industry, customers, competitors and trends.
  • Serve as the primary client contact on select accounts; manage, build and maintain strong client relationships including managing all client communications (e.g., weekly status reports, calls/meetings, agendas, meeting reports).
  • Handle the day-to-day execution of programs, including but not limited to:
  • Writing press materials
  • Building relationships with traditional and new media
  • Distributing press materials and conducting media follow up to secure coverage
  • Planning, coordinating and executing events and promotions (occasional night and weekend work required)
  • Developing and executing influencer marketing initiatives including identifying influencers, negotiating deliverables and managing relationships
  • Developing, negotiating and managing sponsorship and/or partner relationships
  • Results tracking and reporting on all client activity
  • Provide ongoing client consultation to bring greater value to client relationships.
  • Participate in ideation sessions and actively bring new thinking/ideas to the table.
  • Ensure all agency deliverables meet the highest standards.
  • Maintain communications with supervisor and rest of agency team.
  • Manage work flow through the agency and work with other agency departments as needed.
  • Financial management (e.g., billing, budget summaries) on designated accounts.

Reporting Relationship

Reports to VP, Engagement & Influence.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education: BA/BS in communications, public relations, English or other suitable disciple
  • Minimum 5 years communications experience; prior agency experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Thrives in fast-paced environment and ability to juggle multiple responsibilities
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Advanced PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency with PR tools
  • Driver’s license required

Salary and title commensurate with experience.

This position requires in-person work at our Glastonbury, CT office.
