Current Influencer Strategy

RepresentUs currently works with an impressive roster of A-List talent to create content, amplify our message, and inspire Americans to take action to fight corruption. In the past year alone, we’ve launched campaigns with Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom (Transmissions from the Future), Ed Helms (Save the Gerrymanders), Leslie Odom Jr. (#WaitForIt), and the star-studded, viral video Naked Ballots. We’ve also created the highly successful Unbreaking America series that enlists stars like Jennifer Lawrence to break down how our political system is no longer working for the average American—and what we can do to fix this problem.

Our strategy is heavily focused on maintaining relationships with the celebrities mentioned above, as well as those on our Cultural Council. We rely exclusively on members of our executive team to maintain these relationships and connect with celebs on an ad hoc basis when an influencer collaboration or opportunity arises. To date, almost all of our influencer work has been with celebrities who are interested in donating their time and efforts to the RepresentUs mission.


Project Overview

RepresentUs is looking for an influencer marketing vendor/contractor to exponentially grow our brand and make our movement famous. We need someone who can simultaneously maintain and nurture our existing influencer relationships while cultivating new relationships, launch campaigns with influencer support, and build a more efficient influencer program that brings in engaged new audiences, eager to join the movement to fix America’s broken political system.


Length of Engagement: The contract will start no later than December 1, 2021 and is ongoing, with evaluation of contract success to be performed after 2 months of work.


Support and Collaboration with RepresentUs Staff: This role will report directly to Casey Shea, Content Director and head of the Growth Marketing Team.This role will collaborate with our in-house website and webdev teams, design, social media, video, and representatives from our advocacy and political teams.

Services Needed

  • Perform an audit of the existing RepresentUs influencer program and provide recommendations for how to build a stronger, more effective program to amplify our message and grow the anti-corruption movement
  • Execute on recommendations from the audit to build our new and improved influencer program
  • Top to bottom ownership of RepresentUs influencer campaigns, from ideation and development, to execution and launch
  • Work cross-functionally with internal RepresentUs teams to leverage influencer marketing to support departmental needs and goals
  • Establish relationships with the current RepresentUs influencer roster
  • Cultivate relationships with new influencers to add to the RepresentUs roster
  • Research and make recommendations on paid influencer strategies
  • Deliver detailed monthly reports and campaign-specific reports for all categories of influencer initiatives that track key KPIs and effectiveness of strategies
  • Meet regularly with RepresentUs staff to discuss strategy, activities, and results

KPIs (After 2 months we’ll see...)

  • A 20% increase in brand mentions
  • A 5% increase in direct traffic to our website
  • A 50% increase in www.represent.us website traffic from influencer social media shares
  • 10 million social media impressions from influencer posts


Qualifications

You are…

  • An influencer marketing expert who understands the industry inside and out. You’re fluent in industry best practices, you’re on top of emerging trends, and you know how to harness the power of influencers for a cause.
  • An excellent communicator, managing and cultivating relationships with influencers and their teams.
  • An experienced project manager with the ability to execute on timely campaigns.
  • Creative! You think outside the box and use this skill to solve problems and come up with boundary pushing ideas.
  • Comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects and cross-functional team members.


You have...

  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing a brand's influencer marketing program.
  • Knowledge of our issue space and/or a willingness to learn more about it.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • A team of additional support staff or a firm.

4. A clear and detailed description of the proposed work product, including:

· Preferred payment schedule and salary

· Proposed timeline for services across the first 2 months of work
