Meeting & Events Planner

Overview:

The Meeting & Events Planner reports to the VP of Marketing to support the public relations, events, and content creation functions for both HR for Health and the DSO Leadership Summit. A strong background in event management, video production, and the ability to build long-lasting relationships is required.

In this role he/she will have responsibility for producing multiple live events per year, plus managing all other events including trade shows, webinars, Facebook Lives, in-person and virtual speaking events. The position will also be responsible for creating video content for both HR for Health and the DSO Leadership Summit to drive brand awareness and improve the companies’ public relations efforts by developing and maintaining relationships with industry partners, journalists and industry influencers.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce multiple live events per year within the healthcare industry
  • Manage all aspects of event production for trade shows, webinars, Facebook Lives, speaking events, and in-person and virtual events, etc
  • Manage video production of commercials, video ads, and organic videos for HR for Health & the DSO Leadership Summit
  • Assist in PR efforts such as developing a list of media contacts and proactively reaching out to develop relationships and promote news about HR for Health and it’s sister brands
  • Assist in managing the “Happy Doctor” program (brand ambassadors) as well as help the companies launch an influencer marketing program
  • Assisting in new vertical launches and expansion with ideation for events, relationship building and PR
  • Building out the DSO Summit into a sustainable long-term source of leads and thought leadership for HR for Health. (within the above mentioned overview of tasks for PR and Events)
  • Other projects as required

Experience:

  • Extensive experience with all aspects of both event and video production is key.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships with key influencers.
  • Comfortable working with webinar platforms such as GoToWebinar
  • Experience working in Hubspot or comparable marketing automation environment.
  • Experience negotiating with hotels, vendors, etc
  • Ability to create and nurture relationships with both internal and external business partners
