Highsnobiety seeks a Community and Talent Director to join our Highsnobiety Brand team based in the New York City office. Highsnobiety’s Brand department encompasses our publishing, apparel brand, and e-commerce activities. Reporting to the Editor-in-Chief, the role will focus on raising awareness and growing the influence of the Highsnobiety brand through talent management, community-building, and public relations. Whether it’s a friends and family gifting for one of our new collections, booking our roster of Frontpage digital cover stars (example - https://www.highsnobiety.com/badge/frontpage/) or planning a big publicity push around one of our flagship projects like Not In Paris, you will engage communities across various platforms, maximizing the influence of our brand externally.

MISSION:

  • Build and maintain a community database for our brand that includes maintaining existing contacts, mail outs and gifting, as well as forging new relationships with cultural pioneers. Developing and defining the Highsnobiety crew — from who appears on our magazines to who comes to our dinners to what they all get for the holidays — is central to this role.
  • Working with Highsnobiety’s Activations team to conduct seeding, off-line activation, and publicity initiatives around our drops and new collections.
  • Partner with Highsnobiety’s external Entertainment Director to program our talent-based editorial projects, from celebrities to emerging talents who are pioneering the new luxury landscape, and position these opportunities within the scope of Highsnobiety’s community-building initiatives
  • Working in conjunction with an external agency to oversee our brand’s publicity outreach, developing our own relationships with press, leading comms strategy, and coordinating outreach for new brand projects, company milestones, and launches.
  • Conduct tracking and reporting for all gifting and publicity initiatives, substantively growing the influence of our consumer brand and delivering quantifiable results.

YOUR SKILLS:

  • Over the last 7+ years, you have worked in some combination of functions across talent relations, influencer marketing, public relations, and other forms of community-based brand-building.
  • You have experience both growing and measuring cultural influence, utilizing social listening tools to measure the impact of gifting and publicity initiatives, and can create a system for measuring the impact of our brand initiatives in this domain.
  • You have an intimate knowledge of, and an established set of contacts within Highsnobiety’s cultural space, from fashion to music to art and design.
  • You are digitally native and data-driven understanding and having deep knowledge of new and emerging platforms.
  • All candidates must be eligible to work in the US
