Job Description Summary:
Venmo’s Social Team supports the growth of the business by inserting the brand into culture, driving awareness & engagement at scale, and fueling customer acquisition and advocacy via inspiring content and innovative platform tactics. The Social & Influencer Marketing Manager is both a creative and a strategic role. You’ll help shape our global strategy and bring to life integrated campaigns and tentpole moments to drive brand metrics. The role is highly visible within the organization and requires collaboration across marketing, comms, product, customer support, legal, compliance, and risk. You will be the key point of contact for high-level stakeholders, external agencies, and partners—and you will report to the Head of Social. The ideal candidate for this role is creative and has a passion for leveraging social & creator marketing to strategically build brands, capture attention, and generate advocacy. You have a pulse on culture. You think big picture. You’ve led highly creative social campaigns for consumer brands. And you have a deep understanding of social platform capabilities and paid social strategy. What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage the execution of social & influencer marketing campaigns from inception to completion—inserting social-first thinking to everything we do
  • Pioneer and evolve our social & influencer strategy to continually deliver against business goals
  • Build and manage paid media strategy for social & influencer initiatives
  • Partner with brand, comms, and product leads to bring to life fully integrated campaigns
  • Lead cross-functional stakeholders through complex processes—from brief and concepting to feedback, approvals, and execution
  • Manage agency partners to ensure flawless execution of campaigns
  • Deliver regular reports with comprehensive metrics and actionable insights to optimize content performance and future campaigns
  • Manage social budgets and build/own SOWs and POs with vendors
  • Analyze cultural, community, media, and market trends to inform strategic and creative development for campaigns; stay informed on the latest creator and platform best practices; cultivate strong relationships with platforms (Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, etc.), gaining access to emerging features and technologies

What You’ll Need

  • 7-10 years of experience leading social & influencer marketing for well-established, consumer brands
  • Hands-on experience developing and executing creative, innovative, social-first campaigns
  • Experience working with all levels of influencers (from micro to celebrity)
  • Experience with social advertising and how to align organic and paid strategy
  • Ability to provide clear and concise feedback across a range of topics and audiences
  • Ability to art direct and ideate with creative teams
  • A deep understanding of the social ecosystem and how brands should participate in an authentic way
  • Experience managing complex workstreams involving internal stakeholders and external agencies
  • Robust knowledge of social media management tools; experience with Khoros and other social media management tools a plus
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and planning skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Proven ability to creatively problem-solve and achieve results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, often on short deadlines
