What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a Senior Manager, Affiliate and Influencer Marketing who will serve as a leader owning all aspects of our rapidly growing partnerships business. This person will have broad responsibility for the global performance, operations, and strategy of the affiliate and paid influencer programs along with driving collaboration across teams and other channels within MasterClass. This person will be the face of MasterClass’s affiliate business and influencer partnerships, and as such should exhibit the highest levels of professionalism with internal stakeholders and external partners. This person will also demonstrate excellent judgment in setting and prioritizing goals. The role is both strategic and operational in nature, and we are seeking an entrepreneurial professional who is comfortable building programs and beating aggressive growth targets in a dynamic, fast-paced data-driven environment.
Responsibilities Of The Role
- Define the strategy for MasterClass’s global affiliate and influencer marketing, including program targets, partners, recruitment, value proposition, promotional strategy, and retention strategy
- Own all budget line items and be accountable for delivering according to business OKRs
- Collaborate with other members of the Marketing Leadership team for cross-channel knowledge sharing and efficiency gains
- Provide program transparency and education as a knowledge expert to internal teams
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the affiliate program in concert with our agency with the opportunity to grow a team long term
- Take ownership of and scale our influencer marketing efforts, including onboarding resources where needed to help build and scale the program
- Conduct analysis on channel and partner revenues to diagnose problems and unlock opportunities
- Work directly with our affiliate network and influencer partners where needed to find and develop opportunities for growth
- Partner closely with Marketing Tech to make recommendations on marketing platforms, tools, and technology while managing integrations with partners
Requirements
The ideal candidate for this role will be someone with deep experience in the affiliate marketing space and someone who has a proven record of building out in-house influencer marketing programs to drive global customer acquisition at scale.
- 3+ years of in-house affiliate marketing experience using platforms and tools such as Impact, Media Rails, ShareASale, or Forensiq
- 1+ year of experience building or testing influencer marketing programs across social channels from early stages to scalable growth
- 3+ years successfully working in a highly cross-functional role managing relationships and projects from start to finish
- Self-starter with business strategy and development skills that can take a new partner from the very first conversation all the way to a lifetime evergreen relationship
- A strong bias-to-action and a results-driven mentality to operate efficiently and effectively
- Highly analytical with strong disposition toward data-based decision making and incrementality testing
- Proven experience managing internal and external relationships to deliver on shared goals
- Top notch negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable in educating and presenting to executive level leadership
- A willingness to get your hands dirty and execute directly with the potential to build a team
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience with SQL, Looker and/or Amplitude is a plus
- Experience advertising a subscription or streaming service is a plus
