Product Marketing Specialist (Advertising)
Canon's new Hybrid Workplace Solutions Group is seeking a talented and creative Product Marketing Specialist to be the channel marketing team lead responsible for our group’s campaign media planning efforts to showcase how Canon is a lead provider for companies and individuals continually adapting to a hybrid workstyle.
The Product Marketing Specialist will manage all daily aspects of campaign activity from organize it to implementation, through third party agency relationship(s), via a substantial advertising budget. You will manage our partner relationship(s), actively participate in campaign planning, and see through all the details related to production and media, to ensure realization of KPIs, both brand-oriented and conversion-driven.
This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office Monday and Wednesday and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days). Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Primary point of contact for all campaign advertising-related activity in the U.S. and Latin America
- Campaign ideation– engage in strategic plan development and review of core concepts presented by agency
- Vendor management– lead all aspects including contract, negotiation, ongoing performance analysis, communication and hitting deadlines
- Budget planning– ongoing review and management based on established budget
- Content/creative review– active participation in all phases of production; may require travel
- Digital analytics– review performance against KPIs, work with agency to optimize content and media based on results
- Post Campaign Activity– providing the reporting of the campaign (KPI accomplish, goals obtain etc.) and possible improvements feedback to be made for future campaigns
- Team lead for all influencer-marketing related activities – manage agency partnership(s), identify key influencer partners, negotiate terms, establish specific plans and see through execution
- Develop and oversee brand style/guidelines for our team to follow internally and externally, that align to our corporate brand and philosophy
- Identify and execute plans to extend our brand beyond the traditional campaign itself – such as through creation of supplementary tools and resources to evangelize and align through our B2C and B2B sales partners
- Engage in various PR/showroom/social-related activities to ensure brand extension
- Identify and implement new methods to evaluate campaign performance – particularly related to brand recognition and definition
- Internal brand champion to evangelize and partner internally and externally as needs and opportunities arise
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 3 to 5 years of related experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
