Performance Marketing Intern- Partnerships

Santa Clara or San Francisco, CA

Your goal – to improve the education process and better the lives of students -- through interning in Performance Marketing.

Role:  Performance Marketing- Partnerships Internship

We’re looking for a highly motivated and proactive intern to work on the Performance Marketing team, specializing in partnerships with influencers and content creation. The ideal candidate should have a passion for learning, social media platforms, and influencers.

Responsibilities

  • You’ll identify new opportunities to reach Chegg’s growing community across our digital platforms while monitoring competitors, media outlets, influencers, and key trends in the ed-tech space
  • Work closely with teammates and cross-functional teams such as Brand, Paid, Integrated Marketing as well as 3 rd party partners like TikTok
  • Conduct research to source, vet and prioritize promising influencers that are aligned with our brand and reflect the trends and attitudes of our customers.
  • Partner with global stakeholders to own the process from top to bottom including communicating with influencers, briefing influencers, curating content, tracking social posts, and analyzing results.
  • Build and maintain an influencer marketing campaign calendar to ensure an “always-on” approach
  • QAing content before and during campaign launch to ensure that content meets brand standards
  • Monitor influencer accounts to ensure follow-through, source/tag UGC , and track influencer performance across identified KPIs

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Be legally allowed to work in the US (US citizen, green card, or F1 student visa holder)
  • Have the ability to work for continuous weeks in the summer
  • Have the ability to work 40 hours per week
  • Strong knowledge of social media trends on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok
  • Strong organizational and project management skills- proficiency in Google Suites
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships inside and outside Chegg
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Have a good sense of humor
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred

What project will the intern work on?

The intern will have the opportunity to work on social channels within the Performance Marketing organization. Potential projects include marketing campaign execution, channel performance analysis, and optimizations, media buying, influencer content creation.

What skills will the intern gain?

  • Knowledge of at least one social media platform ( Instagram, TikTok , Snapchat, etc )
  • Cross-functional skills/responsibilities: working with various teams within Chegg
  • Presentation skills
