JOB OVERVIEW
The Communications and Public Relations Associate is an integral part of the Communications and Marketing team at Corporate. With the goal of achieving advanced brand recognition and establishing leadership throughout the food industry for Eataly North America, the Communications and Public Relations Associate creates, organizes, and executes strategies for internal and external communications and public relations.
Reports to the Head of PR and Communications - Eataly North America.
· Supports the Head of PR and Communications in the planning and execution of the national and regional PR/earned media, influencers, and media buy strategies for the North American market
· Creates a regional editorial calendar and following pitch calendar throughout the year: drafts media alerts, proactively pitches regional media, answers inbound requests, tracks media coverage
· Maintains a national and regional media and influencers database
· Supports regional NY media and influencers events
· Develops and maintains relationships with media and influencer contacts within the food industry
· Collaborates with the Content team at Corporate on the social media strategy with the goal of growing the national accounts on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Twitter; oversees community management and post scheduling
· Furnishes all products for TV appearances and photo shoots
· Manages PR, media buy, and influencers reports
· Performs other duties as required or assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
· 2+ years of progressively more responsible communications, PR, and social media experience
· Strong knowledge of contacts in the food industry
· Advanced understanding of social media platforms –Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter
· Excellent verbal communication skills and professional writing skills
· Ability to participate in events and happenings in the food industry and to create contacts
· Ability to work independently and in teams
· Knowledge of PR tools (MuckRuck) and social media planning tools (Sprout Social)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule sometimes including evening and weekends
